It has been well covered by the press but as part of the blackpool fans continued protesrs a fan perched humsepf ontop of the Arse team bus stopping them from going.

Not he was arrested, but strangley not under any football guidelines but under section 241 of the trade union act.

This is the act.

241Intimidation or annoyance by violence or otherwise.
(1)A person commits an offence who, with a view to compelling another person to abstain from doing or to do any act which that person has a legal right to do or abstain from doing, wrongfully and without legal authority—
(a)uses violence to or intimidates that person or his [spouse or civil partner] or children, or injures his property, (b)persistently follows that person about from place to place,
(c)hides any tools, clothes or other property owned or used by that person, or deprives him of or hinders him in the use thereof,
(d)watches or besets the house or other place where that person resides, works, carries on business or happens to be, or the approach to any such house or place, or
(e)follows that person with two or more other persons in a disorderly manner in or through any street or road.

(2)A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable on summary conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale, or both.

Now this sets a dangerous precident in my opinion that along with normal football related measured this is now being used against football fans too.

If it was as part of a protest then that's probably using that law in the way it was originally intended, doubt too many football related laws deal with organised protests.

He was sat ontop of a bus, hardly warrants a charge on this act that can carry a 6 month sentence.

Can carry, not will carry, in all likelihood he'll get a fine. They can't charge him with a football related public order offence if none of them fit.
In any case, he's a fucking idiot. Arsenal and their bus have nothing to do with Blackpool's ownership problems.

That was my first thought too. Why under the TU act?

Yeah sitting on the bus is pretty dickish, we can agree on that, but this act is specifically aed at unofficial strike action and harrassing scabs.
I find it uncomfortable that lancashire police are transfering it to situations to suit themselves (they used it on fracking protesters last year too).
Image during the swales out protest if we were getting knicked on random laws to suit a police force, there are plenty provisiins in the sporting acts and public order offences acts to deal with football, adding another isn't necessary imo
