Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.

They (the media) have had an agenda against us since
the takeover by ADUG,you only have to look at the furore
over the Gary Cook Email,if that was a CEO of any other club
it would barely have registered in the press.

Fook em all,the bluemoons rising and they will not stop it

The red knights valued them at 1.3bil, and they are not stupid (makes a change for a rag)
to say they valued them at 1.3 billion is a little simplistic, 1.3 billion would have been the cost of the take over which would have included aprox 700 mill to clear the debt, so in reality the residual value of a debt free purchase would have been 600 mil, which is still a substantial value but clearly not 1.3 billion.

I believe from several reports I've read the Rags are valued in the region of £1.5 Billion, though the Glazers apparently won't consider selling for less than £2 Billion. Now if they are worth that amount, with between £500m and £1 Billion of debt, and City have no debt and an incredibly valuable squad, I can't believe anyone in their right mind would value us under a Billion?
Not over a billion.

City are probably worth £500 to 700m considering the assets (i.e. players) add up to this amount. An improvement on the £200 to 300m we worth 5 years ago and when we were bought.

Thirdly, for all those saying that 'you can't buy success', 'You can't buy a team', 'teams have to be built', and 'you'll never have any history', well there's only one answer to that one, just fucking watch!

Not only are we, in a way buying a team, we are also building a team! It pisses me off when rags say this shit :P

I couldn't give 2 tiny little shiney shites about what anyone says to be honest. The papers are full of shit so I don't read them. All sectors of business try to attract investment. Fair play to city for attracting this investment. If any other club out there wanted it then why didn't they attract it? Fuck the lot of them. I've been waiting all my life for a better day with City and here it is.

The valuations usually quoted are based on a concept called 'equivalent value' and represents the amount of equity plus any debt.

For the former it's the share value (if quoted) or shareholder funds if not.

So a large part of the rags value is actually their debt of nearly £500m.
This might seem strange but in normal businesses debt represents working capital that produces a return. However it doesn't in their case so I'm not sure that valuation is strictly correct.

At the end of the day they are worth what someone is prepared to pay. The IPO may give a better idea.

I think using ev we would be worth about £500m off the top of my head.

Well, you are entitled to your view, but if Mike Ashley valued Newcastle 3 years ago at about £450m, I can't see how anybody with even a moderate estimation, given our potential on and off the pitch, combined with the unbelievable rise in our image World wide over the past 3 years, could even dream of figures anywhere near as low as you suggest?
