Blatter attempts to fix something that isn't broken

English leagues were 2 points for a win up until 1981 I think. Much later in other places before 3 points for a win came in as well. Think the '94 World Cup was the first with 3 points for a win in the group stage if I'm right?

So, change isn't always bad. I don't think world cup football was particularly broken pre-1994, but there aren't many people who would want to go back to 2 points for a win, me included.

As for too many games, think England could live with just one cup competition tbh and drop the league cup.

Having said all that, I do still wish Blatter would GTFO though.

You can't really blow quotes out of proportion, nor make them up.

Blatter just doesn't seem to understand something here; NOBODY CARES ANY MORE ABOUT INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL.

I'd rather watch City all year round and scrap the England team than have fit players for England and cut our season down.

This is probably the point, less domestic football means more attention for international football and more MONEY for FIFA/Blatter.

Whilst everyone is listening to the fat coont, attention is taken away from his dubious going's on.

This.

Fucking hate that ****. Don't care how old he is i'd love to slap his crinkle old sack.

If the **** cuts domestic games to enable more fucking international games - I shall personally hunt him down and stab him.

Its decisions like sending the world cup to russia amd qatar that will eventually devalue international footie for good! What message will it send to the world about international football when the russian and qatari stadiums are half empty! If with the qatari decision its about legacy it shouldnt be held just in qatar but all other middle eastern backward societies! As for russia there no rush to send a world cup there really! They cant even feed their own children for ffs!

I thought Twatter couldn't get any more ridiculous, but apparently he can. What exactly is wrong with the current system?

Pretty obvious isn't it? What Blatter thinks is wrong with it is that he didn't invent it. If it hasn't got his greasy fingers over it from day one, he wants it changed so that it does have his greasy fingers all over it.

He probably resents that the 3 point idea (IIRC) came from England, too.
