Blatter wants changes to Brazil 2014...

How about we just play football, leave as is and play the game the way it was meant to be played.

FIFA continue to try and make the game more attractive for the happy clappy fans. But at the end of the day all they're trying to do is make it so that the big super powers get through and if he steps on the little guy inbetween then so be it. That is what FIFA's about, money and that's it, and at the end of the day he'll do just about anything to try and bring in more money, even if it means ruining the game.

I mean what the hell is so wrong with the way it is now.

Exactly, football is the most popular sport already, it doesn't need made more exciting.

There are some rules that need sorting out for the purpose of clarity and consistency, but the general format is absolutely fine.

Get rid of bookings for taking the shirt off.
Get rid of seemingly random amounts of injury time.
Get rid of the total confusion when a player goes down injured with the ball still in play.
Bring in goal-line technology.
Sort out the workings of many of the appeals processes ('expert' panels judging on the merits of work permits, no retrospective action if the ref claims he's seen something or not seen something - obviously open to the ref being a cock.)
I'm sure there's plenty more that need sorting out before the likes of Blatter start fucking around with golden/silver goals and bullshit like that.

The guy is a total prick, leave our bloody game alone all you had to do was introduce goal line technology, sod off and take your onion ring piece partner with you....... i feel better now

Won't last long, GB. The silly sods will be back with some other piece of tomfoolery before you can get yer Sambas warmed up.

There is a few things that could be changed and make the game better.
Bring in goal line technology like they have in rugby.
Bring in harsher bookings for players who cheat.
Clamp down on players who dive all the time, the Irish game the other night against Andorra, who's purpose in the games was to dive, go down injured as often as possible, even be stretched off, to break up the Irish play. That was their tactics, that is what they practice and it was disgraceful.
Bring in the rugby type time keeping when time is stopped for injuries, or even like AFL when the horn goes at the end of the game, stopping random injury times, and "Fergie time."
Fix the appeal process where a harsher sentence can be handed out, or taken back. How many players have missed important games because of refs decsions alone.
All these problems need to be fixed, ahead of bringing in crapy footballs, giving a helping hand to superpowers, and fucking around with the way the game is now with golden goals, penalties, how and who qualifies for world cups etc.

Give the game so clarity, consistency, and most of all, they are trying to inforce this Fair Play campaign, maybe, just maybe they should start at home. Make the game fair, for once.
