Blog from a Red Dipper..

It was because of pool, United and arsenals lavish wages which kept all chasing packs apart. Liverpool could splash loads on collymores to the heskeys while paying astronomical wages, while Blackburn and the leeds tried to stop all that but couldn't keep up with wages or transfers.

All this was done spending beyond their means, with promises to the bank of champions league football. It basically locked 16 clubs out every season.

liverpool spent 120m last season and still have a 40m higher wagebill than spurs. Joe Cole wanted his 100k a week wage at pool while 40k in a young exciting team like spurs wasn't enough pull.

They have spent over half a billion more in wages than the chasing packs, yet when people do the same they cry unfair.

I find a Liverpool fan making such statements reeks of hypocrisy, I don’t think it’s jealously but rather anger that their massive amount of money is no longer enough, when we spend £120 million we get results and good players, they get Carroll and Downing. I sincerely hope over the next few years I get to watch Liverpool dive into the abyss of ever lower league standings and with that watch their fans dissert en mass. Hopefully the team will be confined to that history that they cling onto so much.

Edit: How I react everytime any starts bad mouthing our money:

I always have to laugh when football and money is bought into a conversation. There's just no point in discussing, the numbers are just too big to bother arguing about 10 mil Vs. 50 mil (for example). It's still huge amounts of money regardless.

What I saw last season wasn't a team "buying" the title. City have spent an enormous amount of money to assemble one of the best football teams I've ever seen live. That's it, that's what it comes down to: is the team good?

If they are, then it's 'right'. Football at it's heart is competition and only the best should win.

Also, Liverpool aren't exactly innocent of paying huge money, did that supporter forget about Andy Carroll, Stewart Downing, Jordan Henderson and Luis Suarez?

Only difference is City bought good footballers and have a fantastic manager. Liverpool wasted tens of millions on 2 prospects, 1 cheating prick and a football player who cannot play football.

What a tit

Carroll 35 million
hendersen 20 million
downing 20 million
suarez 24 million
Charlie Adam 10 million

They spend Shit loads last season and they will need to spend 100 million to even get into the top 4. Bitter fans :-)

Have they got a candle lit vigil organised now that Spurs have stolen Sigurdsson
Perhaps they should have reminded him about their "istree"

Gylfi Sigurdsson spurned Liverpool's advances because he believes Tottenham are a club that is going places, the Iceland midfielder has revealed.

Sigurdsson, 22, had been linked with Swansea, where he was on loan last season, and the midfielder confirmed there was also strong interest from Liverpool, who are now managed by former Swans boss Brendan Rodgers. But Sigurdsson opted to move to White Hart Lane after a meeting with the Spurs' hierarchy

If you're gonna write a blog then at least make it interesting, original and factually correct. Otherwise it's just a shit piece of waffle.
Calling it a 'blog' doesn't automatically mean it's worth reading, and that shite wasn't.

Of all those players, Suarez is the only one who would get close to our matchday squad. They've paid a premium for British players, without taking into consideration they are shit/had one good season.
