If we set off flares at that repo'd (soon to be) shithouse then no doubt the one rule for THEM and one rule for us would kick in big time and we'd be chucked out of the cup and relegated to the Blue square north
 
I believe they are a chemical re-action flare and not an Ignition flare so pretty harmless In the great scheme of things. I think you tap the lid and roll them to operate.
We need to do something to make the night air blue.

DESCRIPTION of PRODUCT and EFFECT
A grey paper tube (Diameter 33mm x 138mm Length) that is sealed at the base with a clay bung, the top of the tube is constricted by a pressed clay choke that has a green fuse protruding from it. A cardboard tube style lid covers this Fuse.
The product is designed to be ignited by striking the fuse across the top of the lid/cap once seal is broken.
On ignition the Large Smoke will produce a cloud of smoke (colour indicated by label on lid/cap) for approximately 45-60 seconds.
The smoke emitted by these products are hot and due consideration should be given as to the positioning when in use.
USER INSTRUCTIONS
The manufacturer (Enola Gaye Ltd) except no liability whatsoever where their pyrotechnics are used with unauthorised firing systems, device holders or where the product has been tampered with and or customised from its original condition.
Enola Gaye Pyrotechnics are sold to Paintball/BB sites, clubs, teams, organisers, film & TV companies, re-enactment associations and/or any other professional body that Enola Gaye see fit with the understanding that the products are used in controlled and supervised conditions.
INTENDENDED FOR SUPERVISED USE ONLY BY PERSONS OVER 18 YEARS OF AGE
It is recommended that users should be demonstrated the effects and firing instructions before any sales of the products commence. The Large Smoke is designed for outside use only. It is important for operators to understand that Large Smoke effects can vary according to environmental conditions, in particular wind, grass and rain. DO NOT SMOKE at any time when dealing with pyrotechnic product.
IN THE EVENT OF A MIS-FIRE / DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS:
If the product fails to fire, do not pick up for at least 5 minutes and then soak in a bucket of water to await disposal. Disposal: Submerge in a bucket of water to allow the water to enter the product. Leave soaking outside in a secure area for a minimum of 48 hours then dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
FORMULATION AND PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OF EXPLOSIVE: (refers to un-fired device)
The device contains a black compacted composition comprising: Potassium Nitrate, Potassium Chlorate, Sulphur and Dye.
EXPOSURE LIMITS: (refers to composition before firing)
8-hour TWA total inhalable dust. 10 mg / cubic meter
8-hour TWA total respirable dust. 4 mg / cubic meter
INHALATION OF SMOKE PRODUCED FROM THE EFFECT SHOULD BE AVOIDED. EXCESSIVE SMOKE INHALATION MAY CAUSE RESPIRATORY IRRITATION, DIFFICULTY IN BREATHING, HEADACHES, AND NAUSEA, WHICH MAY RESULT IN VOMITING. IN NORMAL USE WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION THE SMOKE PRODUCED SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM. HOWEVER ANY PERSON FOUND TO BE SUFFERING FROM SMOKE INHALATION SHOULD BE REMOVED TO FRESH AIR AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE SOUGHT.
STORAGE CONDITIONS:
Store in a cool dry place, humidity should be less than 70%. Avoid extreme temperatures. In particular sub-zero temperatures where freezing and re-thaw can alter the performance of the product.
A local authority permit may be required for storage in bulk. The local Trading Standards Department should be consulted for further details.
EMERGENCY PROCEEDURES
SPILLAGE: Sweep up any loose powder and packaging and dispose of by following the disposal instructions. Avoid skin contact. In case of contact with skin wash hands immediately.
FIRE: Cool pyrotechnic products and/or packages with water and remove them if possible.
NOTE:

They dont make blue flares but these blue smoke grenades are a good alternative I reckon, and have already been mentioned on another thread on this site.

They are available from most paintball stores apparently:

How difficult would it be to set up an "all blue" firework display somewhere a little way from the ground that would be visible directly above the stadium? No-one inside to get banned and would be spectacular.
