Blue Moon Playlist Review Club - Season 2 - Episode 32 - threespires - Could have been a Contender (pg 472)

Glasgow - Austin Plaine

Plinkety-plonkety banjos or that ilk. If you can't beat them, join them I guess.

Not sure how well known these guys are across the pond, so if not, here we go:

Dawes - Time Spent In Los Angeles
I know that one - that's a great song,

I feel sure they've had a mention or two in these threads before, got a feeling it was Misadventures of Doomscroller that was discussed but could be having a senior moment.
Coatigan nominated that album in last year's Album of the Year thread - I enjoyed it.

Big Dawes fan I saw them live at ’The Deaf Institute’ in Manchester and also when they supported ‘The Kings of Leon’ in West Palm Beach back in 2017.
i was going to put ‘St Augustine at Night ‘ forward.
we definitely have similar tastes.

That's right I knew I hadn't imagined it! It got a lot of love if I remember, like you I enjoyed it.

That is a great doubleheader show! I saw KOL in 2017 for that same WALLS Tour, so there were some great songs being played.

Another gem, I was sticking to their home-base in LA. And I wouldn't mind hearing both! ;-)

Yes, I've known this since the prior BM Album Club selections and the BM Song Cup and would heartedly agree. ;-)
