The Britannia in Swinton is my local.
Landlord is a massive blue
Pub Decore is sky blue, but not that many pictures flying around.

If City and Utd are playing on the same night, there's only one team shown on the TV in there!

is it still gary gowers who has the brit ? some good stories about him and his mates, they used to do buses to away games but weren't linked to the swinton csa

Slight variation from the theme but i was in a bar in Manhattan and seen a pic of Darren Huckerby. Actually had to ask the barman as it was about 2am and i was pretty hammered but it turns out it was a pic of the Huck and the reason was a couple of Norwich City fans drunk there.

Although I'm now a regular of the Kenny in Cheadle Hulme, the G&D in Cheadle (now sadly boarded up) was of course a great blue pub and full of memorabilia.
The Royal Scot in Marple was once owned by Ian Niven and full of blue stuff, not been in for many years though and I doubt he still has it (surely he is retired now?).

I'm not ashamed to admit that I used to also drink in the Fiddlers Green in Levenshulme...where it was full of red shit all over the walls. My elbow may or may not have come into contact with a framed photograph of some rag or another once and it may have fallen off the wall.... ;)

Struggling to think of any pubs not in the immediate vicinity of Eastlands that has memorabilia in these days..???

some replies to overall points here :

bridge in sale was always a united majority pub because its on the tram line and they went from there to the matches, but its turned into a student pub and i personally know of a few blues who have moved from the fallowfield / withington area to that part of sale - dane road and there has been a bit of sea chnage in there, when city are on there is a good turnout in there, although it is certainly not a blue pub... the brook, the bank and the vine are your best bets

tommy muir had the george but does he now have a pub in droyslden ? i saw him absolutely wasted at rangers away - he ended up in the rangersd end and ended up in the city end only for the final whistle !

wasnt the wheatsheaf in leve city's pub ?

also king and queen in padgate is where you'd find the warrington blues

ian niven retired from the scot long ago, not a blue pub anymore, show united champions league games in there and gets full too...

The Dutton at the back of the MEN Arena landlord is blue City and Utd on at the same time there is only 1 winner so the rags have to walk up to the Berwick.

Cheers lad, i might pop my head in over the weekend!

This isn't the first time we have had this thread. Yet again I ask does anybody know of a decent City Pub in the Warrington area. This Town as most of you will know is Rag and Dipper infested to an almost intolerable degree.

The famous King and Queen at Padgate, mate.

The Warrington Branch of the OSC meet there first Thursday of every month, a top bunch and take a mini-bus/coach to every game ,home and away. eg 15 going to Arsenal.

l was brought up in Wire town ,there are stacks of Blues, you have been looking in the wrong places.

bird in hand in hazel grove is blue, pics on walls etc, there used to be a big pic ov CoMS in the fiveways(hazel grove)but there was a change ov landlord who is a rag,and a gimp!! not many blues go in there now,the beer is piss poor2.

Thanks for the information mate. I used to go the supporters Club there in my teens and in the King and Queen when we were on ITV Digital every week under Keegan. However the last time I tried it was for the 6 -0 Chelsea away disater under Sven and it was just a few old blokes with betting slips watching the Racing.

What I am after is where to see the 3pm Saturday away Games guarenteed. I will give the King and Queen another try though.

the navigation, top of lancashire hill stockport, barry the landlords a big blue and season tckt holder, though you do get a few tv reds in there

is there any city pubs in the city centre that show 3pm city games or ESPN matches?

The Lass O Gowry off Princess Street has Sky Italia so they get more or less all english games, including 3pm kick-offs. They've got 2 rooms so they always show City, it's traditionally a Blue pub too. Drink is fairly dear in there mind.

I know it!

cheers, been looking for somewhere to watch some away games for a while now instead of an online stream!

The Warrington Ashton is a top City pub, with pics on the Walls. On Derby day a Red moaned they wouldn't show the Rag players interviwed on tv, so the landlord told him to fook off to a Rag pub!
Fox Tavern Stalybridge used to be a big blue pub but not been in for a while
also Astley Arms Stalybridge is meant to be blue, but not been in it.
