Blue stabbed in Napoli - MEN

If Napoli were English they'd be serving a 3-year ban by now and not even eligible for the Champions League. UEFA's hatred of the English is clear for all to see.
A few years ago an Arsenal fan took a hatchet to a CL away game in Italy and attacked some Roma (?) fans with it. Arsenal weren't punished for this.

But with Napoli it's constant and every year, not a one-off event. They aren't even given minor punishments for their fan's behaviour from what I can see.

People might think is just sour grapes, but I think Napoli should be thrown out.

That's two games in a row, their fans are stabbed opposition fans unprovoked. That's unacceptable. They are making football dangerous to go to and giving football a bad name. I'm not sure if anything happened when they hosted Villareal, but that's two serious incidents against ourselves and Bayern Munich.

Obviously UEFA won't do anything about this, but that is a disgrace. Fans' safety shouldn't be in danger going to watch football matches. The fans make football, simple as that. Nobody would watch football on tv if the stadiums were empty and it was like a sunday league game. I'm shocked UEFA are letting this carry on, kicking them out could save somebody's life in the next round. Imagine Barca went there in the next round and won 3-0, it'd be a massacre afterwards.

That's true. A few Napoli fans have been on here though and said often it is Neapolitan gangs unrelated to Napoli the club (whether they're Napoli fans or not) that are responsible for attacks. What are Napoli the club to do about that? That's like a Longsight gang coming out to attack travelling footy fans coming to Mcr for CL games. Is that City or United's fault?

Possibly making Napoli play at another ground away from Naples is the way forward.

UEFA can't start getting involved in matters that happen in a city centre well away from the stadium. There a clearly a lot of knobheads knocking about in Naples, but why should the team itself be punished for something that happens miles away from the ground? How can they possibly control what goes on there?

I can understand feelings running high on here about this, but it's completely unworkable to start banning teams from Europe for the things that happpen well away from their stadiums.

It will be even sweeter when Napoli don't qualify on the 7th of December.!!

I sympathise with the guy and his dad but should city have been thrown out of the premier following the derby at our place last season when a yob blinded a police officer?

Shit happens in life in football and I think we just need to move on.

The solution which I feel is fair is to host Napoli's European games at another stadium, a neutral venue where local Nepalese people are less likely to travel to, then we will see whether it is genuine football fans causing this or local scumbags.

What I haven't seen is any hatred from Napoli fans towards these criminals?

if local gangs started assaulting footy fans near our stadium I'd be the first to condemn them and I'd be making sure everyone knew they weren't Blues....

Napoli fans don't seem to be making this effort.
I haven't heard about any Napoli fans getting stabbed during their home games.
