Ol' CCR are still a bit of a big deal out my way being San Francisco boys. I always liked "Lodi" (it's a small city near here), "Fortunate Son" and "Who'll Stop The Rain?"

I had no idea how big a hit "Bad Moon Rising" was out across the pond.

Only discovered this one a few months ago upon my review of 'Selling England By The Pound' - this one blew me away, the piano intro, the solo and the whole song, prog rock at its very best by early Genesis

I really like James but most often skip past listening to Sit Down as I think it's shite.

As I said, that was the impression I had of what they did, before someone in here said to start searching.
I was impressed when I did.

As album tracks go it’s tops. Not what I had in mind as the theme of the thread though. But your thread. Your rules.

Just tried it.
Pretty remarkable live effort. Exceptional.
Thought her voice was great but lacked that little something Anderson’s has and the keyboards in the middle section lacked the grandeur and gravity of Wakeman on the church organ.
But fabulous rendition of a fabulous piece of music all the same.
