Bluehammer's 'Top 100 Greatest Songs of All Time'

Ol' CCR are still a bit of a big deal out my way being San Francisco boys. I always liked "Lodi" (it's a small city near here), "Fortunate Son" and "Who'll Stop The Rain?"

I had no idea how big a hit "Bad Moon Rising" was out across the pond.
"Lodi" is my favourite song of theirs

Genesis - Firth Of Fifth

I'm not sure you will get many likes for that one BH, certainly not from me. However keep them coming.

Love it but I wouldn’t have considered it in the same vein as top 100 songs.
As album tracks go it’s tops. Not what I had in mind as the theme of the thread though. But your thread. Your rules.
Is Close to the Edge, side one, going to be in the top 20 now?

never heard that one by Yes, need to open my horizons more to prog rock. Some great stuff.

Now I have always liked Yes being an old git it was part of the deal, even saw them a couple of times.
Now you tube has taken a bit of a battering whilst in lockdown and I came across Band Geeks. Trust me use the search on you tube and put in Band Geeks play close to the edge, it blew me away. Enjoy

Just tried it.
Pretty remarkable live effort. Exceptional.
Thought her voice was great but lacked that little something Anderson’s has and the keyboards in the middle section lacked the grandeur and gravity of Wakeman on the church organ.
But fabulous rendition of a fabulous piece of music all the same.
