Bluemoon 11 a Side Saturday\Sunday Team UPDATE pg14 24/09/09

Re: Bluemoon 11 a Side Saturday\Sunday Team

Well,

Theres been plenty of interest, but my worries are people playing regularly. I think there is too much to sort out to start this season, I havent even spoken to Ric about it yet, which I intend to given its his forum, and we will be representing Bluemoon. It may be a good start to find somewhere to train and just start training, get used to playing with each other and organise some friendlies with local teams, with a view of starting a team next year when we can tell who is committed, and as a team we all know how to play together.

City matches are obviously going to have an impact, im quite willing to play a saturday morning game and then go straight to the match afterwards, assuming its a 3pm kick off they'll be plenty of time, but im not sure how many others will. We cant get into a league and players randomly not turn up on a Saturday morning because City play in the afternoon, we'll just get deducted points or thrown out the league.

Personally, I'd like everyone thats interested to start training, and proper training, starting with fitness. If anyone on here is or knows a decent coach then that would be great to get some proper instruction. It will seperate those who are committed from those who arent.

Another thing is I cant organise all this on my own, and sitting next to the boss at work its difficult doing all the telephoning side of it. So im looking for volunteers, perhaps people who dont want to play but want to be involved, to act as Secretary for the team, or even Manage the team if their up for it.

Re: Bluemoon 11 a Side Saturday\Sunday Team

sounds the best way it is far to late to join a league and get everything sorted, i was initially down as just sundays only but i can do either now obviously as long as no clashes with games.

Re: Bluemoon 11 a Side Saturday\Sunday Team

i'm up for organising what i can mark as well as playing just let me know

Re: Bluemoon 11 a Side Saturday\Sunday Team

am willing to play , i play alot of football, my fitness is fine too

Re: Bluemoon 11 a Side Saturday\Sunday Team

As I said before I can play either day and will be willing to play on the morning of matches. However I work nights (5-10.30) at work, so I will only be able to make training once every 3 weeks as long as it is on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

I am going on holiday today so if anything gets sorted within the next couple of weeks, please don't discount me as I won't be around to confirm my availability.

If everyone who is intrested wants to pop there location on then i could try to arrange a local training ground and get some sessions going... might not be DECENT but i have done it before.. and i know the basics of coaching plus a bit more..

Update locations on the 1st post next to there name then i can work out a location thanks..

As a continuation from the Bluemoon XI thread, i mentioned if there was any interest in setting up an 11 a side team and entering a league on a Saturday or Sunday.

There seems to be some interest so I've started a new thread. If we can get 20 reliable players, a volunteer(s) to coach us, a place to train and a pitch to play on, it could really take off. We'd have to be pretty quick to register in time for a this seasons leagues.

If your interested, and i mean only SERIOUSLY interested, pop your name on this thread together with your preferences for Saturday or Sunday and preferred day to train.

This would be quality if it took off, but wasters who promise to turn up and then dont are as welcome as a second hole in my anus. Im organising and intend to play and train travelling from Yorkshire, so no excuse for those who commit then let down!
