I do wonder if there are untapped gems in terms of course (bream and roach) fishing up there. I suspect there are, but obviously the focus is on the game fishing.

Its too far north for course fish other than Pike and Perch. You can get the occasional bream as far north as Perthshire -one or two have been caught on Lake of Menteith and I'm sure they are in Loch Lomond, there are Barbel in the Clyde but north of that you would really struggle

Nice float on the Teton today, took the wife so didn’t fish as much as I should, there was a huge caddis hatch and fish were hungry, caught a lot of Brooke trout but nothing big. Did see eight moose, herons, ospreys, muskrats

While in Cuba several years ago I was chatting with a Canadian guy. Somehow we got onto the subject of Mooses. He said the males were absolutely massive, muscular and solid. He said if a car hits a moose the car is a write off and the driver most likely dead. The Moose gets up shakes his head and wanders off . Made me laugh.
