It's alright but I'd only buy it for the City connection or in a pub that was otherwise Fosters, Carling et al. If there's a decent real ale on, I'm on that instead.

There is another bluemoon beer made by George Wright Brewery from St. Helens. Tis quite a nice bitter, had a pint in Wetherspoons the other day.

I'd forgotten about the George Wright one. Had a pint a while ago in a pub in Bury, great real ale. Don't think it's widespread though.

The other is a wheat beer, not to my taste.

asda have it at 4 for 2-99 ish.

Rolling rock used to love that stuff could drink it like pop lol

First had it in Missouri a few years ago, they dropped a 1/4 piece of orange into it. Takes a bit of getting used to, a bit like your first swig of a pint of Holts Diamond...shivers you through to your toes, after that ba da bing.

I'm giving that a go as soon as it's a possibility.

Called a Black and Blue.

-- Mon Sep 05, 2011 3:28 pm --

Man, they must really not have any decent wheat beers in England if you all love Blue Moon so much! :)

If it wasn't for the name I doubt (m)any of us would be so charitable. As wheat beers go it is right down there with Hoegaarden.........but, because of the name, if there is no decent ales on - stick a slice of orange in mine.

Im a cider man myself however due to the name I will have a pint if its on offer. Said aint it!
