A better idea would be for the whole ground to stand up ,sing, show encouragement to the players and get behind the team for the 90+ minutes.

this guy knows what hes talking about!!!!!!!

A lights out would still have some effect at 7:45. Granted not as much as winter but it would still get everyone going. Would like to see it happen again.

loving your ideas nick. we really showed united who was boss (off the pitch lol). i think for big games we should plan things like this. we can be famous for the fan events. think back to inflatables night and now the streamers. if we keep doing things like this more people will get involved. only for big games tho.

For fucks sake, forget the ticker tape. It was shit.

Whatever happened to the good-old, throwing of coins onto the pitch?
was going to have a go then lol.

How many seats are around a Row on the 2nd tier. I think the front 3 rows with a sandwhich bag each on the 2nd tier and the front 3 rows either side on the 3rd tier and it would look much better at night.

I rekong thats about 2000 seats, if not more?

-- Tue Apr 20, 2010 8:19 am --

I think the lights out in May time and we would look like fools.

Ticker tape is all good though!

Someone over in the West Stand (I think?) as one of those horns with the black rubber thing on it but it never quite raises the voice. It would be a suitable alternative to the late and great 'Helen's bell'. Pompey use noise - to good effect, I think a combo of all things helps to stimulate atmosphere. What about the Blue Moon rising at half time then?
