Bluemoon man of the match?

SWP destroyed that full-back time and again.

The defence looked good and wasn't really troubled. That is credit to them but Arsenal never had us under sustained pressure.

But for me we won it in the middle by breaking up all their play and releasing the ball at the right time. I would have gone with SWP but if not him then Ireland was excellent. Loads of tackles and interceptions coupled with intelligent passing. Shame some people think he has to score before they say he's had a good game.

Lescott. It's obviously difficult to compare players from different positions, but i would say that Lescott's defensive performance was better than SWP's right wing performance.

SWP for sure

Legend

Lescott and the defense played well but would Chelsea have missed the 2 free headers they got inside our box?

I've just watched it again and i've changed my mind. I'm giving it to Bellamy. His football was intelligent and full of energy but it's the other stuff he did. He wound up their players, got stuck into the officials and constantly encouraged his team mates. I don't think his gob stopped moving all night.

This type of player, a real gritty pro', is the sort that winning teams need against strong opposition.

SWP....9.5/10
LESCOTT...9/10
IRELAND...8.5/10
BELLAMY....1st half 6/10. 2nd half...9/10

I'd give it to Ireland and Barry, thought they provided the link between defence and upfront, Ireland made the most of his role and passed the ball with skill out of defence which we've been lacking in all the recent draws.

Too many good performances to list, but SWeeP was pick of the bunch for me.
