Bluemoon official trip to Copenhagen

Just had details through, it'll be £269 for a one night stay. Obviously it's still unclear when the game will actually take place but hopefully see some of you on the trip. Would be good to get a load of Bluemooners together for it, and Copenhagen is supposed to be a top city. And on the bright side we can only be better by then.

If interested please PM me.

Cheers,
Ric

Since your club obviously does'nt bother posting it on their website, then I might as well inform you that the fixtures against FC København (Copenhagen) now have been confirmed.

First leg to be played in Parken thursday feb 19th.
Second leg in City of Manchester Stadium thursday feb. 26th.

And in danish on our clubs official website: <a class="postlink" href="http://fck.dk/index.php?pageid=754&newsid=8733" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://fck.dk/index.php?pageid=754&newsid=8733</a>

Kick off times to be revealed later.

For you making travel arrangements:

SAS has direct flight Manchester-Copenhagen
Others fly from London, Easyjet etc.

If you're flying to Denmark obviously Copenhagen is the first choice of airport. You could also fly in to Billund, which is about three hours drive from Copenhagen. Ultimately Malmö (Sweden) is a possibility, it's only 45 min. train ride from Copenhagen.

The choice of hotels are big, you can walk from city centre to Parken stadium in about 30 minutes. Drinking on the street is allowed so that makes the walking trip that more interresting :-) Trains to Parken run to Østerport (10 min. walk), busses 1, 14, 15 to trianglen (5 min. walk)

If you choose to make hotel reservations I recommend you to do it in Vesterbro (red light district), which is right behind the main train station. There is a lot of tourist class hotels here. The hostels/hotels mentioned underneath are centrally located, cheap and reccomendable:

The pound is 1 pound to appx. 8 danish kroner. A pint ranges from between 30 to 50 danish kroner (stay away from the bars in the main walking street, as they are very expensive). You could though, arrange with the staff at the Dubliner on the main walking street that you will be arriving, sometimes they make special price deals for travelling supporters of foreign clubs (<a class="postlink" href="http://www.thedubliner.dk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.thedubliner.dk/</a>) A bottle of Tuborg/Carlsberg is appx. 1 pound in the stores, and it is class A beer 4.8% alcohol, not as mentioned in here class B beer. There will be served non-alcoholic beer inside the ground, and you are allowed to bring them to the stands.

If you choose to visit Christiania to experience a selection of smokeable stimulation, you'll need to take the metro to "Christianshavn", do be careful though, as a foreigner getting caught with cannabis/hash etc. you will be hung!!!.....or at least get a hefty fine and probably be locked up during the game.

I'll be updating this post if more comes to mind!

Looking forward to the two games, hopefully we'll do you like we did United at home two years ago ;-)

Ric, can you definitely include me on the trip for two places. When will you be able to confirm the places?

Just waiting for confirmation of dates and times of flights from the organiser, will let you know as soon as I have them mate(should be any day now).

Anyone who travelled to Schalke or Santander with lowcost will get a £10 discount if they book before New Year. It's £50 booking fee to confirm place.

Ive booked flights via Dusseldorf (Ryanair and Air Berlin) (£110) But now looks like we may be playing first leg at home according to mcfc.co.uk ....ffs

Is this right? I thought that 19 February had been confirmed but have checked the fixtures on the website and no UEFA cup games on there for February. Does anybody know if the first leg is definitely still away?

Defo Thursday 19th, not seen a kick off time confirmed yet though. 4.25pm last time in Denmark, something similar could happen.

All of FC Kobenhavn's UEFA Cup home ties bar one have been 19:45 kick-offs. The odd one out versus Lillestrom had a 19:00 kick-off.

It is the TV companies who move it, if Channel 5 buy it and the Villa or Spurs match they could end up moving one forward. 19:45 is the default time here, but is is 20:45 there.
