Bluemoon Player of the Month curse?

This may seem a bit superstitious, but it seems that each thime we vote a player of the month on Bluemoon, the player suffers some sort of bad luck afterwards:

Dzeko (AUg 2011): Out of Form/Injured
Silva (Sep 2011): Out of Form/Injured
Balotelli (Oct 2011): Injured
Milner (Nov 2011): Ok, this one doesn't really fit
Barry (Dec 2011): Red Card (will miss matches)

I was worrying then that I had forgotten something! (straight red instead of 2yellows etc)
