No-one's really stood out, but what has happened is we've become more solid except for the ridiculous idea that Maicon can defend.

Zab's kept up his ironman performances, Vinny's got his mojo back, Nasty's doing really well and gaining in confidence and Kolarov's learned how to defend when the excellent Clichy's not been there.

So why Gazbaz? He's the link shielding it all, he's just been there, reading the game, helping Nasty settle in and with Zaba making it tough for the other team. Gazbaz, unsung hero of the month.

Has anyone ever noticed how we seem to always have mostly defenders as player of the month. Top of my head in last 12 months, Zab, Micah, Kompany, Lescott, Hart. I think 2 of them have been in twice as well!!!

When we signed Nastasic and we first played him, I thought he was not too good. Now he is WAY better than I thought he was gonna be. Top class player in my opinion.

For me it was Zabba or Nasti and Nasti has edged it because he's played more games and is also still adjusting to our team and the league so his efforts have been greater overall.
