My favourite way of following football is through these fan channels.
I watch Fulltimedevils a lot because there's a lot of content and it's very well-produced, and has some very good presenters, but the way they react to one good performance by Memphis, or Rooney is totally hilarious. Grounded and aware of their own deficiencies they certainly are not.
Arsenalfantv is probably my favourite channel because of one of their contributors Claude. I like Westhamtv and Chelseafantv as well - basically anything that gets you in touch with their fans. Chelseafantv is worth watching because I feel they maybe breaking up with Mourinho, and maybe about to go through some upheaval.
It's notable how close some journalists are to their football clubs. Utd and Chelsea for example both have extensive interviews with journalists who are obviously fans of the club.
Football republic is quite good too.
See Man Utd fan trying to defend his team's transfer window
Notable across all these fan channels how trendy and middle-class football has become. There are some presenters on those channels who are going to have careers in the media and that's probably what they are doing. Training and developing themselves and doing something they enjoy doing at the same time. Fair play to all of them.
Very interesting to watch committed football fans discuss their own teams and rivals. The only thing is that you can spend way too long watching these channels when you have something else you need to be doing. Not time wasted though. I find it remarkable how good and confident some people are at public speaking and developing an argument. This is definitely a skill that is worth developing.
