I was under the impression we were not allowed to bump threads today.

Human history is littered with people moaning that things ain't what they used to be.
Most bands' second albums, Boddington's Bitter and Monster Munch are examples of this. Some people are very adept at filtering out the crap from the past leaving only warm, positive memories in situ.
Many supporters do the same when it comes to City and its past. Conveniently forgetting the occasional quiet afternoons at Maine Road, the disgusting way the club treated Paul Lake and the questionable attendance figures in ther Swales years, leaving only fuzZy memories of a community focussed friendly club with the noisiest matchdays in the country every week. The truth is always infinitely more complex than some people are comfortable with.
Bluemoon, like our club, remains interesting, full of character and is usually good to watch.
Especially when there's a meltdown.

"Downstairs" is OK in my opinion, and I think it helps new posters to settle in before they jump into the lion's den which is "Upstairs".
I've been a reader of this forum for about six years and I never bothered signing up for so long because I thought there were a lot of tools posting on here. Then I got a smartphone for the first time and found myself on here a lot so got myself a username. I've noticed that it goes in waves of people posting good stuff and people posting bollocks. I think a bad day at work, an argument with the missus, a comedown from the weekend can have people coming on here to let off steam about something. It does make you feel better having a bit of a rant on an Internet forum (strange as it seems). However, what I notice here more than any other forums I'm a member of - rlfans.com (rugby league forum), residentadvisor.net (DJ/techno/house/clubbing forum), NME.com (music forum) - is people not letting others share their opinions without childish name calling, sometimes it's a bit pathetic on here. But I would say this is the best forum I'm a member of and I find there are more high quality threads on this site than ANY other football club forum.SWP's back said:So what's going on guys? I have read more than once today that bluemoon is not what it used to be. That it's dead, gone to the dogs, all the good posters have left and it's not the same with all the new posters.....
I've only been on here two and a half years and have seen no deterioration than I could really speak of. A similar amount of piss taking, football chat and funny fuckers that there always were. I certainly don't look down my nose at the newer members. But has the place changed? Have all the best posters gone?
