Mite be an option that unless someone comes up with a decent pub to watch the footy in afterwards. Bit of a trek from Platt Lance to COMS though, + I'm not sure if you can have a beer there?

yeah bit of a trek but i'm driving so its ok, plus if city win i'll be glad i made the effort. Just got this off the city website...
"City fans will have the chance to both wear the new home shirt and see it in action at the City of Manchester Stadium on Saturday, July 18th.
The previous day sees Doves, Kid British and many more performing at the ground to kick off the Live From City event, and now we can confirm that there will be a host of great events taking place on the next day.
The Blues will wear the new Umbro kit when they take on the Orlando Pirates in South Africa, and the game will be beamed back and shown live on a big screen outside the stadium for free!
The fun begins from 9am, when the revamped CityStore opens its doors and the new City home shirt goes on sale for the first time. There’ll also be bags of entertainment outside the ground, with balloon modellers, face painters, the MCFC Big Band and more.
Moonchester and Moonbeam will also drop in, and we’ll be firing up a bar-b-q for lunch. You can watch the match on the big screen in the compound outside the East Stand, with kick off from Polokwane at 2.00pm UK time."
Not sure about drink facilities but BBQ sounds good! Maybe city resturant above shop will be open for drinks? Not sure...
