Bluemoon's Official Top 100 TV Shows

I must be the only person on here who’s never seen the Sopranos. I want to rectify that , it doesn’t seem to be on Netflix . Is there any other way to watch it ?
I've never watched it either mate, tried a few times but it just doesn't do anything for me (The Expanse is the same), then again, never been into all this "Mob" stuff anyway.

Problem now is that - if I like it - I have 115 episodes combined to watch!!!!

If I do like it, that's a nice problem to have, but I do like to watch other stuff - and read, and watch City and watch the Euros - so it's going to be a long watch over 2 years or so.

It won't be two years. Once I started watching Breaking Bad, which was all via DVD at the time, I got through them quickly. I only started watching it after about 3 or 4 series so had to wait for some to actually get released but flew through most of it.

Saul, I started early on in its life but for some reason I couldn't tell you now, didn't get past the first few episodes. Went back to it last year and paced myself a bit but still got through it all fairly quickly.

Personally, I'd still start with Breaking Bad because, imo, it's so astonishingly good. I just don't think it will have the same impact if you have seen Saul first.

As far as drama series go I'd expect Breaking Bad and The Sopranos to be 1 & 2 on this list: that's how good both series are in my view. No point now pretending that they were not top of my list or that, metaphorically speaking, I had to toss a coin to decide between them. I won't go as far as saying which won until one of them appears in the list.

I watched one episode per night of BB followed by BCS over last spring/summer. Took 4 months. Before that I watched Ozark and after watched Homeland. Currently near the end of Narcos and just looking at Sopranos. Been cheaper than going to the pub.

Was it free? If not, how much?
I bought it on Prime after everyone going on about it on here. Only watched one episode so far and not hooked yet.
I pay for Sky sports & basic package , I presume it’s comes with that . So free but not free :)

Oh yeah - and after all that BB / BCS discussion, I’ve not seen The Sopranos either.

I always say that I don’t enjoy mob stuff, but I had Boardwalk Empire in my 20, am currently enjoying S3 of Ozark and I enjoyed watching The Godfather trilogy for the first time over Christmas.

Having said all that, none of them are anywhere near the level of Band of Brothers or The Bridge, so I don’t think gangster/mob drama will ever be top of my list.

Ahhh Rob ! Sopranos is the Godfather of boxsets. It set the way for me. It’s a lot different to Gangster/Mob type of films , can’t explain it. You must watch.

(if Married) perhaps separate for a while and not see your family.

my god, Sopranos, BB and Saul. Imagine not seeing them !
