A friend of my cousins who recently died was a whisker away from being in The Kinks. He was hanging around with the Davies brothers and a few others and they all used to jam together. Ray Davies gave him an ultimatum, told him to kick the Heroin or leave. He stay on the smack and a couple of months later The Kinks were formed without him.

my uncle was the original drummer with the hollies (before they changed their name to the hollies)....he broke his elbow and had to have surgery on his arm, this meant he could no longer drum and the rest is history

Two great bands, missed opportunities.

Nope, that was a tune though. She was in one called Primary Rhyming but I knew a few guys in this next vid. Sadly I heard the kid in the vid died a couple of years ago.

Got to say it. Blur have been great value over the years music wise well better than Oasis. Heard they are recording but might not release what they are recording which is a shame.

Great band, much better than Oasis and unlike them they tried to evolve and got better with each album.
Never afraid to experiment with their sound unlike Noel and Liam who stuck with the formula of a Beatles tribute band through out their career.
Having said that, Albarn is a bit annoying and I would quite happily slap the fucker.
