Bottom line - fact checking is a law unto itself with no appeals process worthy of the name. It is often editorial rather than balanced.

No, it’s because Facebook and Twitter have already been used by nefarious actors to spread outright lies and misinformation for the purposes of manipulating elections that they have to fact-check stuff at all.

No, it’s because Facebook and Twitter have already been used by nefarious actors to spread outright lies and misinformation for the purposes of manipulating elections that they have to fact-check stuff at all.

But they don't 'fact check', they opinion check, which is somewhat different.

BMJ is The British Medical Journal.
Its a weekly peer reviewed journal (that means fact checked by actual qualified doctors and scientists as opposed to some arsehole at Facebook)
