Bob Crow, as you rightly identify, was no saint. But he was a man who made a difference to thousands of people, who stood up for people who individually have little power in society.

He stood with ordinary working people.

one person alone was responsible for decimating communities and his name was arthur scargill, he took on a democratically elected government fed up of the previous government and LOST, thatcher wanted to close 70 odd uneconomical pits, 12 months later with little work done in the pits they had flooded and unworkable except at huge cost and double the original number of pits were closed, did scargill and his num cronies think of the miners and their families while they were drawing their salaries ?
