Boddingtons Bitter

I used to love the smell of Boddingtons in the morning.

Which pubs still sell Boddingtons in Manchester.
I know of the Hard Rock Cafe and some little rag pub that I cannot remember it's name.
The closer to Piccadilly the better.

Boddies was great in the old days - never better than the Brew Tap on the brewery site. Was it the Red Lion on Hollin Lane in Mid ? Great pint. Then the brewery and the Lion got sold off for flats and Boddies became a crap Welsh beer.................

Used to come in and go out of the CIS building and enjoy the hoppy smell - same up the road from the JWL brewery

Honestly can’t remember. I know it was walking distance from the train station when arriving from O’Hare.

I worked a bit closer than the CIS building.

Smell still carried to us - I lived near JWL too - proper beer brewed well smells well to me - some say it has a sour tinge.

It's a shadow of its former self, Boddies Brain Damage I knew it as back in the day, propper pint that was.....!
Not like the cat piss served up nowadays...

I remember drinking it when under age in Preston. It was lighter than most bitter, almost lager coloured. It got darker over the years. Went shite after the brewery shut.
The most surprising place to sell it was a bar in Chicago maybe 15 years ago. Perhaps @ChicagoBlue will know the name of the bar and if it’s still there selling Boddies.

Boddies is more available here than you might think. Last pint I had was in San Diego, of all places!

I remember when Boddingtons was good ......... always gave me a hangover for school assembly .... Mondays was worst it was double maths right afterwards
