What's the opinion of Boddingtons over there? I think it's pretty good and get it every once in a while. I just grabbed a 4-pack for City's first match and have bought it a few more times since then. Sometimes a certain beer just goes down good (usually it's Guiness or a local brew, but right now it's Boddingtons.)

Then, I realized, if it's being exported, it's mass produced beer over there, so you all might think it's shite. So, am I drinking the English equivalent of Budweiser?

It's a good pint, even better on draught.

It goes down so easy. I drink it like water.

That's what I'm finding out too. They only sell it in 4 packs here, and it's a little more expensive. A 4 pack of Boddingtons is a couple dollars more than a 6 pack of other stuff (decent beer, not Bud, Miller, etc).

yeah, there are 1 or 2 places around here that have it on draught, and I'll usually get it. I don't think most people know what it is.

When people say "American Beer", you probably think of Bud and Miller, and over here, we know those are crap. You only drink those when you're short on cash, or if you have to buy beer for 20 people and don't need anything good. I just wasn't sure if that's what Boddingtons was like over there. Even if it was, I'd still drink it, but I was just curious...

I used to drink it but it just doesn't seem the same since they closed down the Manchester brewery and now make it outside the city.

(see, not all my prejudice against brands is purely based on the scum)

it's not even made in england any more. it's brewed in wales and scotland.

I think the Cask is brewed by Hydes in Manchester whilst the Nitro Keg is brewed in Magor, Cardiff.

However it' s Piss Thin. If your going to drink imported beer try "Wife Beater" (Stella Artois)

Different beers! One's a bitter and the other is a lager.
