Charge 116 City money laundering through loyal fans
I was at that game - sat in the main stand next to Noel + Liam Gallagher - I still have the programme signed on the front by them both!!! - they loved it when the City fans sang the Wonderwall/Kinkladze song - and yes it was absolutely freezing!!Coldest City game I can recall being at was Blackburn away on Boxing Day in 95, when Batty produced his standard goal against us and the pitch was pretty much frozen iirc. Was bloody baltic that night.
I was at Halifax and Shrewsbury traumatised for life.Bit harsh mate. We came second in 1977. I would go from 1983 and Luton ! Haha
Absolutelyfuckinglootly. I didn’t have enough points to go but seriously looked at it, shit performance and expensive beer but you’ve got memories that I’ll never have. Still pissed off that I didn’t go to the Faro Isles. Safe journey back you lucky bugger.Great trip, lovely people.
Team weren't great but don't think we should be expecting the players and manager to fund my holiday just because the performance wasn't what I had hoped for.
It’s a nice gesture by the players to refund the cost of the tickets but to be honest £25 is a drop in the bucket to those fans who probably spent close to or more than £1000 to go to the game.
To add a bit of context, Erling Haaland, who seems to have stepped as spokesman for the players, probably has to play about four minutes to cover the whole refund (and I think I’m being conservative - using 300k a week x 52 weeks / 60 games = 260k per game or approx 2600 per minute)
As I said, it’s a good gesture. If you really want to make a statement - play better. That’s what the fans really want

If we turn things around starting at wolves it looks a great gesture where as if the next few games are as shit as the last two it looks meaninglessPlayers shouldn’t be doing that for me. Token gesture. Stop talking and start performing !
Cold ones…
Oldham - Megson game
Portsmouth - Feb 89 was cold from memory due to wind chill off the sea.
Been some chilly ones at home in SS3!
