Well, I don't think it was Ait Nouri on the right that was the problem. How did that turn out?

To be fair he can’t be there for City……he has to be in tip top shape for The World Cup!John Stones is not playing and therefore can’t be holding back.
John Stones gets blamed when he ain’t even there!!! :-)
What’s that got to do with anything, particularly what I posted?do you actually go to games?
People do need to calm down a bit tbh. Did you think we'd win that game prior to ko?We can’t be surprised really. He must be shattered and still recovering from a serious injury. Besides, I wouldn’t expect him to be himself on a plastic pitch. So many over the top comments about yesterday. We lost on a plastic pitch with a decimated squad against Norwegians top league side. It’s hardly surprising. Calm down everyone for fucks sake.
Thats the main concern. We need to stop the rot and quick or by March the season will look far worse than the one just passed. I think we will be more solid against Wolves given the reinforcements but the last CL match could be another disaster.Width for what? We continually turn inside when wide and it must be instruction. At times we had 9/10 players in their half and ONE not difficult pass meant they were in on goal.
They’ve never won a CL game before, they’ve had 5 weeks off and yet, they could have scored 6, as could the rags.
If you don’t have the personnel to play wide and a high line, surely just pack midfield, keep them out and you’ll likely score at least one.
Don’t beat Wolves, lose to Newcastle, Spurs and Liverpool we could be out of one cup and struggling for top 5.
It’s rapidly turning into last season, just a bit later in the season.
Real Madrid but apart from that I agree and the character of the team to many soft players crying off when either don’t fancy it or when the going gets tough..The character of the team has got to be questioned…..I’m pretty sure we have failed to win one match from a losing position this season.
Not helped at times by Pep not changing tactics.

I'd disagree actually as at the moment we are high risk/no reward. We are so far up the pitch as a unit that there is no space and everything is very congested. On top of that, a misplaced pass instantly creates a 2 v 2 or 3 v 3 break. Its suicidalBy the time Haaland gets the ball he's got 18 yards to run in to. Totally not his game.
We have rapid wingers, but they receive the ball when they are static! Then they have to face a defender or 2 who are already set.
Get them moving and get the ball in behind the space between fullback and Centre half.
We need to start playing a bit more riskier football.
At the moment we are low risk, no reward.

Mind your own business will also do.yes or no will do
But you can't say we didn't have several good chances outside of the goal we did score. Alleyne had a free header five yards out from Foden's corner, Haaland pretty much had a sitter on his instep from 10 yards out (we've seen him score those about 20 times a season since he came), O'Reilly had that header late on that he should have connected with. Not only did we lose we deserved to lose. I mean, god bless @youngbob but how anyone can suggest 2-2 would have been a fair result is beyond me. If it ended 5-1 to them i'd have thought - yeah...thats about right.

Can I suggest watching the first two Bodo goals back?Well, I don't think it was Ait Nouri on the right that was the problem.
It's not a week though is it? It's the last 18 months, although there seemed to be some light at the end of the tunnel before Xmas.If a week is a long time in politics it is an eternity in football. The last two games have shocked people and left a lot of unanswered questions.
I certainly did. I thought we'd see a reaction from Sat. Bodo did well but we're making it too easy for the opposition in all areas of the pitch. We're all aware of the mitigating circumstances for the team selection, but I think those who played could have done better on the night.I think everyone thought we would win that game
The header was a good chance. The haaland chances are meh. It wasn't a sitter by any stretch, the defender is coming over to block any attempt at the right side of the goal, so he has to go near post and he misses. Thats not a sitter. But you can't say we didn't have several good chances outside of the goal we did score. You can't have chances like these away in Europe, pass them all up, and still expect to win.

Our worst result since Shrewsbury and Halifax. The opposition was better than the two FA Cup disasters but we are much better as well.I admire the effort and thought you put into that post but I don't agree with your first couple of sentences. One of the top teams in the top league in the world were playing a team miles below us in terms of quality and spending, playing in a third tier league and that had never won a CL game.
It's completely delusional to claim them putting 3 goals past us, plus other chances they created with seeming ease, wasn't catastrophic.
Stubbornness closely followed by loyalty.Pep does have a habit of playing square pegs in round holes... If we don't have the players for a particular system then FFS change it
He did this when he first came... You can argue he's a genius but stubbornness is surely his Kryptonite
They drew with Spurs this season that is usually more than we achieve. Yes I expected a tough game away to the champs of Norway, in January, in the artic circle. At full strength I would have been confident of a result. I wasn’t overly confident with last night’s line up.They have never before won a game in the 'champions league proper', their double goalscorer had scored ONE in his last 16 games, they lost at home to Monaco, lost at home to Juventus and drew with Spurs, whist Spurs beat them there last season. They really aren't a terrifying team. If you are going to lose to them, you lose by a single goal, their keeper has played really well and you have had a bit of an off night. You don't concede 3, look like you could concede 6, have your captain sent off and generally stink the place out.
Christ, you'll be saying Old Trafford is a difficult place to go and we got what was expected on Saturday...
