Hear me out...

Okay, so I'm not Lewis' biggest fan. Not at all. In fact, I've thought to myself I would not be bothered if he was sold. However...

In analysing the game afterwards, I thought that Rodri had no cover in mid and was, pretty much, swarmed a lot. Bernardo has been really useful in this aspect of ball outlet, fetching, carrying and starting attacks.

Lewis ain't no RB and, although he can have an affect as an 8, he may well be better utilised in a Bernardo double pivot hybrid role. He HAS the engine, even if it's only as cover for Bernardo going forward. he just has to keep the game simple and strip back what Bernardo does as he doesn't have the skillset, but he can get about the pitch and link defence and attack.

I'm worried about our mid after Bernardo, I am. We're not fluid without him.

So, in effect, maybe just maybe Lewis has a future in my eyes.

I don't know if anyone has had the same thoughts as I, generally, hate coming on these boards post a loss.
Lewis is absolutely shite.

We’ll hopefully replace Bernado with Anderson.

Exactly, it's not going to change anyone's life but it's a recognition that they let us all down on the night so should be welcomed.
Then I’ve got at least 200 games, over the last 45yrs that I would like to get a refund for being let down :)

Be that, as it may, he was youth City capt for a reason and he's been under Guardiola's ward for some time, for a reason.

The point being Bernardo can't play every game and we need to find a solution to burnout. Fluidity is missing when Bernardo doesn't play.

So what's your practical solution other than to say Lewis is shit...?

For me, might as well try it, just not sure in which game.

I want the club to cover the cost of the trauma therapy I needed after the Pearce era.

I nearly died of hypothermia and boredom after that 0-0 against Sheffield United. A dreadful game and one of the first times i contemplated going home at halftime. To my regret i stayed until the end.

It was a dark, dark time.
They should use replays of the games on insomniacs.

Imagine being told in the 90's our fanbase would become such a soft bunch of wet cunts that they'd be demanding refunds whilst the club were second in the league having won everything we've won in the last ten years.
Tbf, I didn’t see anyone demanding a refund. The players did it off their own backs, rightly or wrongly.

There's some contrasting views on him, have a look in the player performance thread. I was highly critical of him after Sat, but I just don't see him as a RB in any form. He's honest and has bundles of energy, needs to be in midfield where he can keep the ball ticking over with other players around him. He is limited though and likely squad player at best.

Play Nico G with Rodri is my solution until the summer, whenever we’ve no Bernado or to rest him.

I'd imagine this may have given them the idea:

A few of us that weren’t there said they should give them a refund but don’t think we seriously expected it to happen.

I’m just glad the players realise it’s an unacceptable performance and are looking to put it right.

Now it’s on Pep to pick the right team and tactics on Saturday and those players to give as much as the 400 fans that attended the game.

I agree.

His energy is what I'm looking at. he's similar to Bernardo in that way, and why I said for him to do things in the basic level and don't try to be Bernardo!
