Bodo/Glimt (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Had I painted a shambles of a game, one red card, a performance that made Saturday look passable I would have to report that City just haven't reached the depths I predicted - they've gone down a further couple of fathoms. A team without a win, a player who hasn't scored in six games, a ground that is smaller than the Crown Oil Arena and they've fucked us over. Had I not followed it on the MDC I wouldn't have believed it. I should have realised when we went one down I texted my ERO who had already texted that we were two down. It seems that not just wheels are off but the whole bloody engine has separated from the chassis.

The only way is up after United right?.....RIGHT?

:) Tragicomic

I hope the players love their first class travel home. They are too pampered and to lose a game to a fairly limited team who are in pre-season mode is a totally embarrassment. There was nothing in that performance that gives you hope it can be turned around quickly.

Pep himself is trying to mix and match to such a degree that the players have no idea what they are doing - we often had six players up top and then when they broke away we are blaming young defenders for not stopping chances.

Foden with yet another 3/10 performance. Lewis in his "best role" constantly losing the ball and not even bothering to try and get back. Tijjani the same. Ait-Nouri not winning a single 50/50 challenge and again wanting to play so high up because he can't be bothered to defend. Erling so isolated that when he doesn't get a pass he literally stops playing. Max had a nightmare and sadly that was the sort of performance that can stall careers - though for me not one of our midfielders saw what was happening and helped him out. Even Donna was happy to delay his passes out when we were 3-0 down.

All in all an utter shambles and combined with the Utd game this has to be the worst 4 days of Peps tenure with us.

Just a boring, boring, boring football team to watch. At least if we were losing but creating then you'd see something in that. However, we're simply a very boring football team with no intent/purpose/vision.

If one more **** mentions players are tired......

Race is run, Pep's time is over and so is City's as a dominant force. In hindsight that 4th in a row with a collapsed team was some achievement.

The game hasn't changed that much. So what of it's a bit more physical and direct? We literally beat stoke 7-0 when they were supposed to be rock hard

At any other club after such a bad run they'd sack the manager. Wouldn't surprise me if Pep left too. We've been shit since the new year, but especially these last two matches, that was in the dreadful category. Because before that we just couldn't score goals, that was the problem, but the play didn't seem too bad at least as far as I remember, but these two matches are the peak of the disgrace category.

What is going on inside his head with the decisions he is making on team selections & positions he puts some of them in ? Baffling

What an absolute feckin tool Guardiola is! He plays the Left Back at Right Back, the Right Back goes in Midfield, and the natural Midfielder ends up at Left Back. He then watches the 2 inverted full backs offer nothing going forward and even less defensively, as Rodri and the 2 young Centre Halves are overrun. Meanwhile the front are so isolated they actually forget they are playing for City and don't even attempt to defend.

He watches this for 45 minutes and it still doesn't click. We get to 68 minutes and are 3-1 down and he still stands clueless overseeing this shit before making a change. Even then, he doesn't put on Doku, who can occupy 2 defenders, but preferring to put a bloke whose spent more time on planes recently, than he has training, and just how can any manager when requiring goals, leave Rico Lewis on for 90 minutes? Everything about Guardiola is skullfucked and defies logic.

What we have witnessed today and last weekend is as bad, if not worse than anything we ever witnessed under Stuart Pearce.

Don't let Rodri's red card disguise this, what we are witnessing is the end, and there is nothing worse than a long lingering death. We could have been beaten by 6 goals in each of the last 2 games and he just doesn't get it.

In short, if Guardiola had anything about, him would fuck off tonight as his race has long since been run.
Some valid points but horrendously disrespectful in the way you've said it

No pressure Guehi….hope you’re ready to save the day!

O’Reilly looked like the only one with some urgency. Cherki to a lesser extent. The rest were a shambles.
