What I didn't get was why Doku didn't start. Did Pep think that the pitch would not suit his explosive game?
Air nouri has been injured and at afcon so I can’t take him out of the squad as well as playing on the right which obviously didn’t work.. He won’t drop haaland although he’s been very poor along with foden, Lewis and reijnders drop em both, Lewis doesn’t surprise me, good heart, try’s but not up to scratch. Reijnders has in my opinion been very poor up to now,Foden and Haaland need taken out of the team.
Lewis, Ait Nouri, Reijnders need taken out of the squad.
Hard to argue with this IMO.What an absolute feckin tool Guardiola is! He plays the Left Back at Right Back, the Right Back goes in Midfield, and the natural Midfielder ends up at Left Back. He then watches the 2 inverted full backs offer nothing going forward and even less defensively, as Rodri and the 2 young Centre Halves are overrun. Meanwhile the front are so isolated they actually forget they are playing for City and don't even attempt to defend.
He watches this for 45 minutes and it still doesn't click. We get to 68 minutes and are 3-1 down and he still stands clueless overseeing this shit before making a change. Even then, he doesn't put on Doku, who can occupy 2 defenders, but preferring to put a bloke whose spent more time on planes recently, than he has training, and just how can any manager when requiring goals, leave Rico Lewis on for 90 minutes? Everything about Guardiola is skullfucked and defies logic.
What we have witnessed today and last weekend is as bad, if not worse than anything we ever witnessed under Stuart Pearce.
Don't let Rodri's red card disguise this, what we are witnessing is the end, and there is nothing worse than a long lingering death. We could have been beaten by 6 goals in each of the last 2 games and he just doesn't get it.
In short, if Guardiola had anything about, him would fuck off tonight as his race has long since been run.
Can somebody tell Pep that ffs...I’ve watched them a few times this season and they don’t look all that. Sane and Gundogen, come on - it’s not 2019 anymore
Good summary I think Alleyne did well to recover from his mistakes so credit to himDonnarumma - can’t be blamed for anything. Couple of saves
Ait-Nouri - played out of position. Not too bad first half, not in it 2nd half
Nico - did his best. Our best player on the night
Alleyne - mistakes lead to goals. Confidence shot to pieces second half
Khusanov - shaky game. Absolutely no confidence to pass the ball forward.
Lewis - poor game. No strength, no pace but did carry on running.
Rodri - still a few yards off the pace and a ridiculous sending off from our captain for the night
Reijnders - a plodder. Doesn’t bust a gut to get back when we’re defending
Foden - really poor game. Confidence has gone. Gave ball away repeatedly. No longer takes the ball on the 1/2 turn. Poor strength and looks a shadow of former self. Needs taking out of first team to clear his head.
Haaland - Poor finishing. Looks fed up with teammates. If he’s supposed to lead the press, he’s not doing it anywhere near aggressive enough.
Cherki - apart from goal didn’t do a great deal. Needs to really step up.
Marmoush - didn’t have time to impact anything.
Pep - another game where we question his team selection. Substitutions should have been made earlier. Insists on our sideways, backwards, pass, pass, pass even when it’s quite obviously not working. Appreciate we’re struggling injury wise but we really need to see some massive improvement.
Come on blues, still a lot to play for but we need to get out of this slump pronto.

Great post. The reality is that back 4 isn’t CL standard.
Alleyne and Khusanov are good prospects (Khusanov much the better prospect imo) but nothing more and both wildly inexperienced. Ait Nouri isn’t a right back, thinks he’s playing 5 a side and doesn’t know what a recovery run is.
Given that, there needs to be some serious protection in front of them. Shielding them and stopping counters. A midfield of a past it Rodri, and 2 players who wouldn’t know a tackle or a recovery run if it bit them on the arse in Lewis and Reijnders, is simply not going to go provide that protection. This left the back 4 completely overwhelmed and with their inexperience, they made individual and collective mistakes. You cannot make those mistakes at this level. But I can’t blame them as they were pretty much “left to it” by that lack of protection.
It was a suicidal line up and formation. That’s Pep’s fault.
Additionally, an unacceptable lack of authority, desire, work rate and doing of the basics all across the pitch, which was particularly bad from Haaland, Foden and Lewis. That’s the player’s fault.
For me, had we had a back 4 of Nunes, Dias, Guehi, Gvardiol we’d have had no problems against what is a low level CL side and would have controlled their attacks easily.
We need to get Guehi in the team immediately and get Nunes back in at full back as our priorities for Wolves.
Im dead serious but it wouldnt surprise me this season if we go out and score a bagfull in the next few games because we are lurching from one end of the spectrum to the other but i dont know why we are that unpredictable.

Neither is it 2019 for usI’ve watched them a few times this season and they don’t look all that. Sane and Gundogen, come on - it’s not 2019 anymore
Also, Turkish teams don’t typically travel well and hopefully Nico and Bernardo and play in central midfield and keep it tight. Also, Haaland I expect won’t start on Saturday so will hopefully be a bit fresher
Ha!!Can somebody tell Pep that ffs...
They looked a good outfit - certainly better than they needed to be, tonightBit harsh that on Bodo. They did score 3 goals
What was the goalie doing for the first goal? Stay on your fucking line man - then the forward can’t scoreGuess what? Saturday will come and Pep will still stick with Foden n Haaland AND carry on with this crazy high line. Rinse n repeat every fucking game. I don't want to dig one player out because they were(excet Donna again) fucking abysmal, but if Haaland can't score from a foot from goal when all he needs to do is connect properly then the team is well n truly fucked!
I doubt if he can find any words to say after that performance !Any comments from Pep yet?
there;'s Akanji playing for Inter...thank God we kept Ake and Stones over him
Think we've filled that position - but with a (failed) kamikaze pilotThe commentators mentioned Bodo had some Norwegian top gun pilot as a mental health coach maybe that's something we could consider because we seem to have become extremely easy to rattle.
