I saw a problem early on at 0-0.

O’Reilly played in a couple of crosses but Bodo’s number 6 central defender Gundersen got there before Haaland on both occasions unchallenged.

That’s not fatigue – that being bone idle. Haaland needs benching.

Worst European game since Lech Poznan many years ago. Derby day hang over plus. For their 1st goal 2 attackers unmarked. For their 2nd - slight improvement - just 1. Haaland swimming in treacle all night. Foden and Reindeer anonymous.Only Cherki above par. We'll struggle to get top 8 now and Rodri is suspended. Alleyne now confidence shot.

That performance was allowed by Pep at the weekend and tonight

No manager in the world lets his team roll over and wave the white flag twice in 4 days

How can we have team work when players are paling out of position and we have a new back four that hasn’t had time to work on and why Pep should of set up to protect our back line!

This why have we gone back to side side back back shit we're been counter attacked 1-nil down.
Like you say Haaland, Foden Cherki all playing great with smiles on their face.
I go back to Cherki cheeky pass to Foden, Pep said something along the lines he didnt really like that. Since then the players and the team have fallen off a cliff, no smiles, players look fucked off.

Im bored of watching back back side side back back. I have seen how this team can play with excitement, skill, tricks and smiles. Pep doesn't seem to like this style

not total but you can only use what you have...

when you look at the bigger picture there arent a lot of solutions available

Who does he play at right back? - that should have been sorted in the summer

The centre half situation - should have been sorted in the summer -the Stones and Ake situations were literally predicted

No left back and then buying one who doesnt/wont defend and we still need one more

The Rodri situation came about nearly two years ago at first.....there is no other midfield options if we dont play Rodri or Nico G - again this was preedicted

Kova was known to be in trouble at the start of the summer....

Anyone who knows anything about football knows that Rico Lewis whether it be in midfield or at fullback aint good enough but we did nothing to replace him and someone at the club inexplicably gave him a contracg extension.....not club in the top half of the league would have him now.....

ALL of this was talked about in the summer by fans on here....not buyign the right players is a failing of the. club as a whole

we wasted money on buying two goalkeepers as well - that aint Pep
 
If you have your defence out injured, to play a high line with inexperienced players is both irresponsible and asking for trouble. This is the second game on the trot we've played it and we've been absolutely battered again. Against United and Bodo both games could've quite easily been 6-0 against us. If Pep cannot adjust the tactics to suit the players, and he can only play one way then he needs to think about his position. If we have to wait until Dias, Nunes, Stones and Gvardiol and Rodri are back until we have a defence then we simply will not win anything.

I feel incredibly sorry for Alleyne, Khusanov and Lewis as they are getting absolutely hung out to dry by a manager who's unable to see - clear as day - they cannot play the system he wants, too far up the pitch. Neither, it's got to be said, can his preferred back line either.

I genuinely don't understand what is going on at the club. Every player is either injured or completely and utterly exhausted. The level of energy we put into these games is laughable. Slow, ponderous, backwards passing and very little threat and then we're completely amazed when the opposition have good, fast runners who press us. Pep doesn't seem to have any ideas and quite frankly, despite some decent performances this year we don't look any closer to getting back to our peak.

Tomorrow, Pep needs summoning to the office and grilling about what his plans are. We look rudderless this season and quite honestly we're going to struggle against a LOT of teams this season who just have runners with pace. It's astonishing to think that whilst we're being linked with Anderson, Wharton etc the type of player we really need is someone like Onana at Villa - a big fucker who can run.

Totally pissed off with the management after the last couple of games. It's time for Pep to either man up and sort this mess out - we aren't getting our back line back next weekend so if he continues playing the system he is with the players he is, we'll get beat. It's simple - every fan can see it.
 
Ait Nouri at right back reminded me of watching Gerry Taggart play there against Blackburn in 1989. So much for being inverted but he was actually hugging the touchline.

This is all on Pep. The high line was a major problem last season (Feyenoord a great example) and he’s done fuck all to address it. The inverted wingers is so negative it’s frightening. Centurions season we had Sane and Sterling on the outside and we’re now a million miles away from such fast paced, direct football.

Agree with all that but let’s face it - Alleyne was a liability, Ait Nouri nowhere to be seen for the first 2 goals, Khusanov has pace and can defend but is a hothead. So yes little protection but they were shit including the keeper for the first goal

Depending on results in this round a win against Galatasary may not be enough for top 8 and means another 2 games!

It was half hearted, just like his performances since new year. I'd love to know what's going on, so many players just suddenly going to shite since new year. Baffling. Some may say tiredness, but that doesn't excuse missing from a foot out.
 
85% possession 800 passes high line slow build up to be honest I’ve had enough after the last 2 performances esp after last year as well. Not sure we can recreate the brilliant football we use to play so it’s time to change the system we play or change manager if so we need Enrique
