Bodo/Glimt (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Yep..
Somebody needs to point out and question the lack of effort attitude fight against one of the lowest ranking teams in europe, Their Keeper didnt need to make a save really ? the city goal took a deflection and he had no chance
Neither did the old toilet keeper at the weekend.

Probably knee jerk by me, but I’m not going to apologise.

Pep has run out of ideas.
He so stubborn that he won’t change his tactics or the way the team is set up and plays.
Regardless of the obvious tactical and team failings, he will still plough on regardless.

The main difference is passing with purpose and intent

We pass to try and keep the ball, but with no real plan or strategy of what the end result is
Also i dont see this current team has many players who can pass, move and have that touch and skill to make this all happen. Pep needs some of tvery talented and intelligent players to play the way he wants effectively, he had in it in Barcelona, Bayern and City up until now imo. It will be better if all are fit , but midfield , left back needs huge improvement and not sure Doku and Semenyo will ever be good enough. Try to get better players in or find a coach who can use these players better.Pep will never start to defend deep or play counter attacking football.

They have, no doubt. But a bit of a general malaise has crept in like Autumn last season. Thought we'd shake Sat lunchtime out of our system tonight to some extent, but it was more of the same. A few players need to start stepping up now.
I agree it is down to the senior players to kick start the season.

Likely be 12th in the table tomorrow night and, looking at the remaining games, I can’t see us getting any higher than 11th, even beating Galatasary.
Could then be Leverkusen or Monaco…
Probably only makes a difference to our finances from this stage cos we ain’t winning it.
That’s a big ‘if’ we get to the knockout stages.

It's going to get worse by tomorrow night. It's almost a certainty.
And yes, it is disgraceful that Spurs are above us, but that's the way this system works. They are shit. They lost to West Ham at their own gaff just a few days ago, West Ham, who cannot buy a draw, let alone an away win. Crisis with the entire crowd baying for Frank's head…
Spurs are fourteenth, too. We are second (miraculously, because nobody else wants to win).
We just lost to Bodo/Glimpt. In their off season.

I’m starting to worry about the level of coaching and detail going into our training. Every time we concede possession it turns into a counter attack for the opposition it’s like we are playing 5v5 basketball. The midfield and defence are so disjointed especially the midfield there is too much fluidity the players are just running all over the place Rodri crossing over and going ahead of Rico Lewis and vice versa there is absolutely zero discipline in our press and our transitional game.

Yeah we’ll almost certainly be out of the top 8 after tomorrows matches

Watching Arsenal tonight, winning away at San Siro and looking comfortable in their own tactics and skin. Complete opposite to us nowadays compared to what we were.

Anyone think sariano was behind performance to allow a bit of jeopardy on last cl home game with need to sell tickets
Don’t think there’ll be any jeopardy. Won’t finish top 8 and won’t finish outside 24th. We’re having 2 extra games. On the positive side, they’ll likely be our last 2 games in this years CL.
