Bodo/Glimt (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

A matter of logistics. They already have a record of exactly how much the tickets cost.

Do you seriously expect somebody to sift through thousands of receipts with a calculator? Or should they just trust everybody's expenses claim?
No what I was saying, point being the ticket is the cheapest part of the trip.

Obviously not expecting them to cover everything

Exactly. Less than a week after that magnificent victory at Newcastle. Football eh?

The game has changed a lot, but so has the way in which it's followed and discussed. Social media, rolling 24/7 sports channels, the general polarisation of society and people's inability to have anything approaching a nuanced conversation about anything. Just all feeds into the same noise.

Whilst I do agree with this, it should be noted that pretty much everyone under the age of 35 have for the most part in their lives only known City be good.

That under 35 support, especially now considering how popular we are now abroad, is probably our biggest support population and probably didn't have a father or mother who passed that City support onto them and remind them how bad we once were and where we came from. You see this evidently on social media.

There is a huge divide in our fanbase at the moment with regards to expectation.

You have the over 35s/ 40s who lived through dross and are happy with a league cup and then you have a huge section of the under 35s who have predominantly only seen us as a top football club and anything other than challenging for the league title and CL is failure.

Finishing 2nd for a lot of them is seen as a sackable offence.

Only PSG fans can relate to this in the game. Our fanbase and theirs have a before and after moment.

Chelsea don't. They had a transition period before Roman where they were actually quite a decent team and picked up some big trophies and we're there or thereabouts in the top 4.

The kids are fine. I know loads of them who actually are interested in the game and watch loads of football outside of City and therefore have a decent overview of the game as a whole and are capable of having good interesting conversations. The worst are the old fellas who hate modern football, hate the players, hate the manager, hate the executives, and take any and every opportunity to slate anything and everything City related, all whilst calling themselves Blues.

Contrary to popular wisdom, football isn't a life sentence. If you hate it then there's a dead simple solution.

Be a bit more specific then. What exactly is making them some of the worst fans in football?
The fact they fucking whinge and moan about everything regarding the club. Same posters on every subject. Even goodwill gestures are met with the same misery.
You are one so probably haven't noticed tbf.

Steady on fella, bit hostile aren't we.

What I don’t get on here, people moan when the club don’t listen to the fans and don’t do this don’t do that, when the club do something for the fans, and yes I was one of the 400 in bodo, people still moan.I wasn’t expecting anything but what a nice gesture,it’s like the old saying can’t do right for doing wrong

Well said Paul

Ok. So a full back has no obligation to cover the back post when a cross comes in as long as a player further up the field has misplaced a pass in the moments before.
Of course — but in the first situation Bodø are 2-v-1 against Khusanov, and Aït-Nouri is the only player who can get there in time to close the passing lane. So I still think he makes the right decision. Alleyne should have switched positions with Aït-Nouri instead of ball-watching.

I agree with you pal. All I can think of is, alot of fans are frustrated and need any kind reason to vent.

Just answering your question seeing as you pushed for one.
If you don't think we've got some awful fans on here then good for you.
You said "the worst fans in football", I only asked for specifics. You didn't provide any, it's no big deal, end of.

Nice gesture, but what a load of bollocks, I guarantee 95% + of them lot who were there last night wouldnt want it either.

More pertinent is we got allocated 404 and only sold 374, yet sold out at 28k points, why have the club siphoned 30 tickets off the allocation?

They were struggling to sell disability / ambulant tickets. Could that be a factor? That said, I know 50 tickets disappeared for Liverpool away.
