Bodo/Glimt (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

It's not a week though is it? It's the last 18 months, although there seemed to be some light at the end of the tunnel before Xmas.
We've not been the same for 2 seasons now.

New players aren't hitting the ground running (bar Donna). Squad players come in and have a good game then are benched for weeks.

Playing players put of position most weeks.

Injuries don't help but i think the one man midfield of Nico G or Rodri is set up to get overrun. Both top players. Looking like Nico G eclipses Rodri ATM.

Players aren't working hard enough. When we are countered on it's the red arrows one way and a red London bus the other way.

We played a bit more direct the first 4 months of the season, and it seemed to work. Now we have gone back to the plodding, sideways, easy football.

Our very young injury ravaged side is struggling. Villa, with their vastly more experienced side are flying (the pundits are full of praise), but we sit above them in the table. Our defence - now injury ravaged - is the second best in the Prem - only Arsenal have a better defensive record.

We remain in the hunt for every trophy in late January. In the Champions League we're on the same points as defending champions PSG and 'wonderful' Barca.

On the assumption we beat Galatasaray, we go above PSG or Newcastle or hopefully both and hope other results go our way. I'm an optimist - we can improve - we will improve and we will throw the kitchen sink at Galatasaray. We need to create a cauldron in the stadium!!!!

Agreed that Max was partly culpable for their first goal but we still had plenty of Blue shirts back but they were all ball watching. Have a look at how Aït-Nouri was with the goal scorer at one point then just let him drift unmarked to the back post. Really poor.
What about the astroturf pitch and the unpredictable bounce that we saw?

Imagine being told in the 90's our fanbase would become such a soft bunch of wet cunts that they'd be demanding refunds whilst the club were second in the league having won everything we've won in the last ten years.
Didn’t Erlings dad refund fans, or at least buy them a drink after losing first game of season to Charlton back in August 2021?

hope its not a Kitchen sink that goes sideways and backwards constantly.

Did anyone do the trip here? And how did they find it?

If we somehow turn this season around, it will be a pretty iconic moment for that game in Norway.

Rather than the doom and gloom of the result let us celebrate that City have set ANOTHER RECORD - as they played a massive role in assisting the first victory for Bodo in the Champions League proper.

First CL victory? That can't be right as quite a few on here said they'd be good at home due to the plastic pitch.

Definitely a lack of adventure, ponderous on the ball and all this backwards/sideways shite……
