Where does the term jibbing come from?

And does it also apply to helping yourself to beer eg the bloke at Wembley who walked up to the front of the queue and helped himself to 3 pints?

I've always thougt 'Jibbing' or 'to jib' is going on transport without paying for it.

I would say the bloke you posted about 'taxed' three pints from someone.

No, he just walked up to the front of the queue at half time and picked up 3 pints from the dozen or so that they had lined up ready to serve people.
