Bolton v CITY: Official Matchday Thread.

Re: 3 points V Bolton =

Tevez hattrick today. Golden boot for him, 3rd place for us. City 3-1. Come on City!

Re: 3 points V Bolton =

Surely the fact that their season is over and we are going for it should be a good start.

We really can't over-emphasize the importance of this win.

We will be a much better prospect for a couple of 'A+' players if we fully qualify!

C'mon City!

I'll be in the Horwich RMI at 13:00 for a few beers before going down to the Reebok!

Re: 3 points V Bolton =

It won't be easy, they are pretty good at home but if we perform as well as we have done in recent weeks, we have a good chance. Hopefully we won't need a win anyway. Wouldn't be a huge shock if Arsenal draw imo.

Re: 3 points V Bolton =

I agree LF. I fully expect the Arse to draw at Fulham this afternoon. Regardless of Bolton's approach today, City will go for it all guns blazing. Last game of the season. No need for Bobby to think about resting players for a game in three days' time. Massive incentive. Not to mention the fantastic morale amongst the players after winning the FA Cup and getting a great result against Stoke in the league.

As for the £25 million CL dosh, I don't think this is as important (at this stage) as the fact that we will be in the CL proper (i.e. without having to qualify) if we match Arsenal's result this afternoon. As we know, this is a huge factor when it comes to attracting the really big names we want at COMS. Personally I'm slightly baffled as to why it's SUCH a big factor, but the fact remains that it is. And this is the reason why we must go for third place. I'm desperate for us to get those players on our books; playing in the CL doesn't really make me spunk my pants if I'm honest.

Missing the game now :(

Didn't get tickets when on sale and the a miracle my son got 2 from Tickets for Troops in the Bolton end only for his shifts to change.

Hoping for a good link on the web as I think we'll run them over scoring 5.

I think that logic only applies when the team whose season is over is the away side. They'll want to sign off on a high note, their fans would love to see them poop on our party, they'll be up for it.

Everton and spurs have snuck into the top four in the past but for us to get third would be a massive statement and would attract all but a select few players to eastlands(although I won't be able to say that for much longer)

Let's get the win today, don't believe Bolton have anything to play for so who knows, our sheer determination should win it alone.

It just hit me that, either way, the season is going to be over today. It's been a great ride but I'll miss being able to spend my weekend mornings watching City from here in the USA.

Hopefully the transfer market will be exciting enough to at least fill part of the void.
