I watch Richmond Park one from my bedroom window last night. Was alright but I was glad I was inside watching it
Bollocks to the cold

Damn I didn't know it was planned for last night. They usually do it on 5th every year. Kids will be gutted

I would check mate but it was a fairly big fireworks display although there was one at the rugby club as well

I'll have a drive down later - They usually have a fair and the full works. There's nothing on the council or MEN website

There's a free one at Buile Hill park tonight - We've been to the previous two and it's usually very well organised - Bonfire get's lit a 7pm and the fireworks start at 7.30. Pretty sure there's a fun fair too.

Parking can be a nightmare as people tend to come from all over.

When many of the houses on your street are occupied by Eastern Europeans, Asians, students or housesharing young professionals...is it any wonder that bonfire night, halloween and xmas is a wash out?

It's only in middle class areas where the majority of the residents are British families with children that keep all of these old traditions alive. I know, because I have experienced both when moving from Burnage to Cheshire. I was literally dragged out of the house by the neighbours to celebrate the jubilee with them.

Days of rolling wooden cable drums along the road are too much like hard work now.no app for that.had some great times liberating said drums from yards the bigger the better.nothing more fun than the challenge of stopping an eight foot "roller" going down a huge hill.also as said previous the den build complete with sofa n table were always a highlight.

Its because you will get £50 if you hand them in to a firm that use them

Really? I could get my hands on loads still.does it matter if some slots in middle are missing?

Pretty weird thing to celebrate really, when you think about it.

Ah well, still one of the only times in the year that you can fart out loud in public and get away with it. The other being just after we score.

BANG!... Phew, can you smell that gunpowder love?

Not sure about the condition. You might want to ask where you are but when we installed new mains to buildings we kept selling the drums back to the company
