I can't remember clearly but I am pretty sure West Ham went after Bony before Swansea but Allardyce wanted Carroll instead so Wilf went to Swansea.

Really think we'll regret selling Bony before we've replaced the manager and given him a chance in a team that uses him properly. £20 million is nothing in this market either, who's available for that kind of money who's anywhere near Bony's level? And more importantly, who's willing to come knowing full well they'll be on bench whenever Aguero is fit?
