booking next years holidays with brexit coming

I was in on Monzo from the first trial a few years ago.

The restrictions on it make it no use to me any more.

I use a Halifax Clarity card that is best for me.

But the changes coming after Brexit will end all these deals.

Monzo, Halifax Clarity, Revolution, Starling etc. Will end their free access.
Of course they are.
I can see the UK banks really want to hand over their customer base to the newer fintech upstarts then they could always try this on.

It was free withdrawal upto 200 and then I think 1.5% after that, but you get the best rate so was well worth it to me. Plus if your family all have a card and are with you just send it them to withdraw.

Been going every year for the last 5 years.

Lot of bollocks written about Venice by journalists and lazy arses who aren’t capable of a bit of research.

I can take you to restaurants in every area that are no more expensive than in the UK. There are hundreds of cichetti bars where a spritz is 2-3 euros, bar snacks 1-3 euros. Because I go every year I have the Venetian travel card that gets me water bus travel at the local rate, not the tourist rate. Yes if you are stupid you can get ripped off, but so you can here. Got to admit I knowingly paid a ludicrous amount for a Bellini in Harry’s bar, but what the hell, you only live once.

I find it no more expensive than anywhere else I’ve been.
Only been once - last year. And I have to say its one of the most magical places in the world to visit. We stayed on the grand canal so accommodation was pricey but totally worth it. As we suspected that we would only be there once, we did splash about a bit - opera one night, water taxi to and from the airport etc etc. We will go again and maybe spend a little less next time :-).

I don't think prices will rocket 'cos continental hotels need to be filled! What I anticipate is standing in a queue for half of a ten day holiday attempting to show Johnny Foreigner Border Guard my passport!
I wouldnt worry about that.
We travelled throughout Europe on our Oz passports last year and never got held up, I was quite surprised how smooth it was.

Presumably that was because you were in the Schengen areas?

We had to show our passports at every country but there was no queue's, somebody said they were worried about queue's post Brexit, we are obviously foreigners in Europe but sailed through.
Ive only ever had to buy visa's for 3 countries on my Aussie passport, India, China and East Timor, I surprisingly visited Russia without need for a visa.

The queues will be getting in and out of the EU (Schengen) from the UK , once in travel through borders is no problem whatever passport you're on.

Ok, travel is my industry. I run my own business, I'm chairman of an industry trade body.

I can categorically assure you that bookings and flights for post March 2019 have been taken for months. There are no issues and no panic.

Airspace is not governed by the EU, only open skies is, and irrespective of deals or otherwise, it's business as usual, because none of your holidays are likely to involve issues such as sixth freedoms or free standing cabotage within the EU or cross border selling.

The idea that airspace would be denied is spectacularly idiotic, not least because it would entail the whole of the EU not being able to fly to the US and Canada for a start.

There are many issues about us leaving the EU, but this really is project fear stupidity, even before you get into the obvious things like Spain's economy collapsing without British tourism.

Book your holiday.
