I thoroughly recommend my Father and Other Stories by Gary Imlach. Won the Sports Book of the Year award. Beautifully written book about the author's quest to find out more about his father, Stewart Imlach, who played for a number of Scottish and English clubs in the 1950s/60s. Would bring a tear to a glass eye, that one...

You mea "My Father and Other Working Class Football Heros" read it and its great although a bit hevy on stats and dates. would deffinatly recomend it though.

I enjoyed this one. Gary had it dead right with the bunch from Sky.

Dynamo is a great book:

Just read Congratulations you've just met the ICF....6/10, not bad but its hard to believe that those 'nutters" could remember such details about all those fights. Even if only half of it is true West Ham seemed to be the most feared in organised hooliganism. The chapter about the famous "ferry" ride is a bit far fetched but still entertaining.

Never read `Kicked into touch` but have read `Another breath of Fred Eyre`, the guy`s a legend and a comedy genius and well worth a read.
BTW, just bought my lad `The big book of City`after all the `big ups`on here, so having paid £20 for it it had better come up to scratch ;-).
