Bootlegs

I kept a Yanks carrier bag all these years. Mint condition lads with no corners cut off ;-)

Should never have changed its name, struggling to think what it was called, Powerrecords or something? They changed the carrier bags to a new yellow, red and black monicker I think. Not that I have a fetish or owt for carrier bags.

There used to be a guy on oxford road above a shop close to johnny roadhouse,he had thousands of albums and bootlegs and used to record what ever you wanted onto a tape for a couple of quid.He looked like mike harding and he always made you a brew.
i used to get early springsteen live recordings off him, anyone else remember this place?

bastard never made us a brew. and he was always eating cheese on toast when we went. the shop itself was mental though, never seen a place so stuffed with vinyl and tapes

I wonder if at some point in the past was there ever a few of us off here all happily thumbing our way through the vinyl of Yanks or elsewhere all in the same room but never knowing.

Who'd ave thought it years later we'd all be here middleaged, grumpy fat bastards typing away on this ere t'internet thingy and reminiscing about old times. Fuck it time to put the coco on before bed ;-)

I used to be into U2 in a big way (back in the days before Bono thought he could do a better job than God) and I had untolds of bootleg cassettes.

Some were dodgy as fook, barely listenable, but every now and then you would get a real good recording which made the previous 20 dodgy ones all worthwhile!!

Anybody ever used this website http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/performers/concerts/

Depending on taste, but some good gigs here
