Sad to see a club that size going to the wall.

The other day Les Girdondins were relegated to National League 1 in France due to financial issues. FSG were interested in buying the club but didn't.

Today renounced their professional status and all players released and all staff. Not good.

There's quite a few French clubs in trouble.

Last won Ligue 1 2009/09

I go to quite a few games. It's extremely sad.

Have posted about this. But I have family over there and they are my adopted French club.

I go to 4/5 games a season.

Desperately sad to see any club going out of existence but especially so when it’s a club of this size.

You'd think there would be some sort of financial restrictions put in place by UEFA to stop this sort of thing happening
