Good luck to everyone with this virus, Boris is just one of many, no more important, no less.

Whilst I agree for respective loved ones his life isn’t worth anymore than the next but being the leader of the country his death would have an immeasurable impact and potential significant consequences than anyone else.

Apart from anything else, and despite me historically being far from his biggest fan - quite the opposite - I've liked how he has handled things since taking over as leader. He's not put up with any shite, done his absolute utmost to honour his pledge to get us out of the EU, which ultimately he has done. And his commitment to the NHS would seem to have been backed up by Sunak's first budget speech. Although events have rather overtaken things :-( I thought the future for the UK looked much more positive than I could have imagined before this **** of a virus came along.

I’ve only seen people wishing Boris well apart from some composite of nasty posts that some political
Activist has pulled together. The overwhelming majority of people wish Boris well.
Absolutely. He is the leader of the country whether people like him or not. His death would be disastorous for us as a country right now and an already tanking economy. He for me (and ive never been a big fan) has fronted this up like a true leader. He got a few wrongs at first like missing those briefings at the weekend, but overall i've been really impressed with how he's handled what must be a horrific time to be a leader.

I think this is (hopefully) a reasonable and sensible conclusion. They have said his move to ICU was precautionary, and I don't think they had any need to lie about that.

And you'd also imagine that whilst the criteria upon which a normal patient might be moved to ICU are rather different when it comes to the Prime Minister of the country. I'd like to hope it just means they want to keep a REALLY close eye on him. For example, they may want to do 15 minute blood tests to monitor O2 and CO2 levels, rather than on wards where it takes a couple of hours or so to get the the results back.

I think if he’s in ICU it means Bojo is seriously ill. The chances of a full recovery are still good. I can’t see Bojo being given an ICU bed just as a precaution.

Considerably more important in terms of the fact he’s running the UK’s effort to combat the disease. If I was to come down with it and go into ICU, it’d be crap for me and my friends/family, but the U.K. wouldn’t suffer as a result.

It would be absolute disaster for the country if he were to succumb to this disease.

Has everybody who wants to wish him well done that?

If so I personaly would lock the thread and only open it when new information comes along, just to save the nonsnese that is bluemoons argumentative populace and it being locked anyway at some point.

I agree, this thread will only take one more insensitive comment or a post read incorrectly to blow up again.

It’ll likely result in several bans.

Just lock it until there’s breaking news in terms of an update.
