I foolishly read the article after you posted this. I won’t make that mistake again.

In it, the oaf goes through and agrees with all the very good reasons why it’s not a good idea to burn Christmas trees or other wet wood then says we should be doing it anyway. What a complete spanner. How he was once Prime Minister demonstrates the collective madness of this country over the last few years.

I suspect the truth behind this is the millionaire owner can see the Tories may even be the 3rd Party in the HoC after the next GE and people are fed up with Brexit. The boats aren't stopping and Sunak is a preposterous little fool so the channel will be of no further use to him. Rather than continually lose £35m a year he is giving it one last chance to self fund ( very few advertisers will touch it ) - thing is viewing figures are so low how much could this realistically work.
