Boris Johnson

Chamberlain, and most historical premiers, whether you think they made the right choices or not were fundamentally serious people making seriously considered judgements.

Johnson was a liar and a charlatan, motivated purely by ego and narcissism, with lashings of grift on the side. He trashed not merely his government, and Britain's place in the world, but also the entire concept of public service.

He finally left after nearly 60 of his own ministers resigned as they were no longer prepared to lie on his behalf to defend the knowing promotion of a sex pest.

There's an excellent case to be made that he is the very worst prime minister since the post was conceived, and is certainly the worst that I am aware of by a country mile, though I'm no history student.

Truss was a hapless, incompetent ideologue. Had Johnson not trashed the Tory party as well as the government, she would have been unliklely to be in a position to make the foolish choices she did. There's a decent case to be made that she's the second worst ever, merely by dint of her rapid defenestration, but her legacy is far less toxic than Johnson's and she did much less damage.

Can’t we just agree that they did as much damage as each other?!

So, BJ still hovering around the political periphery of the Ukraine conflict. Who is he working for, or his he just a lovely man that loves Ukraine?

As Mayor of London he closed 65 Police Stations, 10 Fire Stations ( meaning the loss of 550 fire fighters and 13 pumps ) and blew £43m of public money on a fantasy Garden Bridge project that never happened. Thats just off the top of my head. I don't even think he was a Mayor that was good for London.

Sold off the fire stations for next to nothing .... the one in Hampstead was valued at over £50 mill. the 10 went for less than that.

He's got a book to flog it seems. Of course he has.

Glad to see the BBC and Kuennsberg are spending public money on giving the twat a platform - he's going to be on her show next week.

To be fair to the grifter he has got a hell of a story to tell: Brexit. Covid. The Ukraine war and almost the death of the Queen.
Not a bad ‘greatest hits’ album in all fairness.

He dragged it out a bit. Even Truss had better judgement on that particular matter.
At least Johnson won an election. Truss had no mandate save for a few thousand old cryptofascists.

I think the tsunami in front of Truss had become utterly irresistible.

Maybe each respective spouse played a big part in each timetable?

Both utter cunts though.
