Horrific first half. Ok second half, apart from the shite defending on the goal.
Getting pretty tired of seeing the same players putting in half-assed performances - no desire, no urgency, no fight, whatsoever, in the first half. Leaves us with a mountain to climb as teams then stick nine in defence.
Pep has a lot to answer for after that first half line-up - absolute disaster! He's getting it wrong time and time again! I'll give him another season but I'm getting less confident by the the game that he's the man for the job.
We can only blame the players so much imo. The manager has them using tactics that are just wrong.
If Pep doesn't get the players and tactics right next season to break through resolute deep defenses then we might as well get in someone more practical minded.
But lets hope that he does and that the youth coming through will blend in well soon too.
Poor first half which was down to team selection, although even I thought Sane and Sterling needed a rest. Corrected his mistake with the early subs and we salvaged a point. Could have been better but could have been worse.
Much improved second half; Sterling grabbed it by the neck as soon as he came on. Probably just about deserved the point in the end.
Have to credit Borough, they played really well, it's always tough against these sides at this stage of the season when they've still got the hope of survival; not an excuse for not getting the 3 points, but a common occurrence.
Hopefully easier matches to come against teams with less to play for. We're doing this the hard way if we manage to do it.
