Awesome game at Wolves, so now we start our 09/10 F.A Cup venture, Boro won't be an easy game, but once again if we make our quality count this is a game we should win quite comfortably, defence is buzzing with confidence on the back of 2 clean sheets and looking more solid as each day goes on, the confidence and morale at the moment is sky high in the team and everyone is playing their part,

I think we should play a rather strong team in this game then hopefully get a lead and make some subs, we have the scum 4 days later but i don't think we should let that affect our team selection, if SWP is available i would bring him straight back in,

Bellers as we know can't play more than 3 games in 10 days so i would rest him so he doesn't over do it, i'd still put him on the bench, Toure gone and Nedum still injured so Mancini has some thinking to do, Micah in for Toure at CB.

This could be an ideal game to give Robinho some game time and get him some confidence back against a lower league opposition, he's seen how Bellers is playing and his brilliant display against Wolves, so Robbie knows he has to up his game quite alot, my team:

-----------------Given

Zabs----Richards----Kompany----Garrido

----------------De Jong

SWP--------Ireland-----Barry-----Robinho

-----------------Tevez

Not an easy game, but a comfortable win and onto the next round.

CITY 3-1.

Im really happy we tested Garrido out, it worked relatively well, plus we have a free kicker as a replacement for Elano. If the next game works well with Garrido he could even replace Bridge, but we'll see how he goes..

Think the wise move is to leave Bellamy on the bench for this one as he has had enough games in as many weeks.. Putting Robinho on will make the game THAT much more difficult as he doesnt put the Yards in as much as Bellers.

1-0 city

EDIT: Just realised we were playing Boro in the FA cup lol :(

Forget the Robinho rubbish then - he'll do fine against Boro :)

And bring in Weiss for crying out loud!

I have this feeling he may start with young Boyata replacing Toure against Boro. Am, I right in thinking he is also Belgian like Kompany, who will be playing at his side? Also Weiss will get at least 45 minutes. Tevez needs a rest before the United game.

If we play like we have done in the last two games we'll be lucky to get a replay. Need to up our game here. They have Alidaire up front.

....................Given....................
Zabaleta....Boyata....Kompany....Garrido

..................de Jong..................
.......Ireland..............Barry......... (Maybe someone else in for one of these two)
Weiss............................Robinho (Tell Robinho he might start in the Utd match if he does well)
...............Benjani/Ball................

Bench

Taylor,

Sylvinho,
Richards,

SWP? or Academy,
Petrov,

Benjani/Ball or other academy,
Bellamy.

With all the players we already have out injured/on internationals it would be a disaster to loos any more just before the Semis of the Carling cup, so we should give some youngsters a chance against Middlesborough...

Given

Zab / Vidal Richards / Kompany/ Boyata Sylvinho / Garrido

SWP / Petrov / Weiss Barry / De Jong/ Ireland Robbie / Bellamy
(if fit)

RSC / Tevez/Benjani
(if fit)

Perm any side you like from the available options depends whether 3rd round away is a higher priority than Rags game, and whether or not players such as Barry, Bellamy and Tevez need resting or need to play to keep continuity of winning games together. As for the other players they have all had time on the sidelines and probably need game time to keep them fit. If I were Berto I wouldn't rest any of them they can have a rest when the other players come back so for me strongest team please.

IMO strongest team after tuesday is

Given
Zab
Richards
Kompany
Garrido (Free kick specialist)

Petrov
Barry
NDJ
Ireland

Bellamy
Tevez
