Why’s team out so early?
I would be much happier if Haaland wasn’t given the opportunity to miss any sitters! After the debacles against Monaco , Dippers , Spuds and Lyon we are well overdue a decent result in the latter stages of this trophy , some help from VAR & officials and Haaland missing a few sitters would be in order .Not over enamoured with the Champs league , but as others have stated its a neccesary evil for our club to get to the next level and appease our owners. Stuff the Germans the the French and Chelski in the final and get the monkey of our backs.
75 mins prior to kick off in CLWhy’s team out so early?
I think Stones was knackered by the end of the Leeds game as he wasI'm absolutely buzzing for tonight. This is what football is all about. Massive weeks and massive games. It's the time for Champions to stand up.
Think your team is largely spot on, Stones played well at weekend but seemed knackered by the end of the game. Having Dias on his natural side should help us more in the build up.
Dortmund are a very good side but we've proven our quality this season, play anywhere near our level and I think we'll be fine.
Good call.We were pretty poor first leg, but still good enough to beat them. If we are lacklustre like that again then I fear the worst. If we turn up though, then I'm confident we will have enough to go through. We have a habit of choking in the later stages of the CL, which worries me, but hopefully we got the not so great performance out of the way already, in the 1st leg, and tonight we will play a blinder.
It's all about the pressure with City in the CL imo. So considering this game from a pressure pov I expect us to be a little conservative but still attack. If they score first = 2-2 they have the away goal but we need just to score and the tie is ours.
If we score first, and especially early on, we're up against it for the rest of the game knowing a couple of Dortmund goals would make it much more difficult and the nerves kick in. When we have the nerves we can play for hours and just not score. It's our Achilles heel , so hopefully Pep will be more reulctant to go all out attack at the start but knowing his approach we're going to go all out!
tbh though anything could happen
